Rentboy
I am trying to launch Kali Linux on my Macbook Pro and when I launch it using refind I get this error: "No bootable device -- Insert boot disk and press any key." My USB is working fine on other Macbooks, even older than mine. 0phoi5
Are you conforming with the below? https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201663 "Intel-based Macs support starting from an external USB storage device's volume that: Has been formatted with a GUID partition type. Contains an installation of Mac OS X 10.4.5 or later, or Mac OS X 10.5 or later, which is compatible with (or shipped with) the Mac that the USB device is connected to. Note: You should not use a version of Mac OS X that is earlier ("older") than the version your Mac shipped with." http://docs.kali.org/installation/kali-linux-dual-boot-on-mac-hardware "Installation Prerequisites Devices older than ‘late 2012‘, may require a blank DVD. USB booting may not work without rEFInd pre-installed." OSX 10.7 or higher"
