dvdshll
I have a MultiTech GPRS GSM Modem, can these devices be used as an SDR or in place of the SDR? The dedictated modem is set to send and receive traffic, both cellular and data over the GSM specific radio frequencies. Full AT command usability. I was wondering if it is possible to use this to be the Radio portion of a Open Source GSM LTE or Cellular setup, or if I can bypass the functional need all together since I have a direct line into the GSM radio network with a sim card - I have some unformatted ones not specific to any provider. I am new to the SDR osmocom open Linux systems and feeling my way around interworking hardware and software. Thanks for any info or insight. Oli
I'd guess no. Sending texts from an Arduino, maybe. Buy something known to be useful for SDR: http://hakshop.myshopify.com/collections/software-defined-radio
