I'm using ubiquti products (nanostation m5 ) which allows me to use frequncy range from 4920-6100 MHz.Today I saw wifipineapple and I'm interested in buying it but does it allow me to use this frequncy range? Tig3rch3n Posted January 21, 2014 Share Posted January 21, 2014 Hey Ho, The RTL chipset just support 802.11g/b The Atheros chipset just supports 802.11g/n So nop I think the Pineapple won't work with 5 Gh/z out of the box BUT you could plug a additional USB 802.11a aka 5Ghz Dongle in and got acces to your wifi. Do you know any 5 GH/z usb adapter that support this range of frequencies ? the problem is that the ap i'm trying to connect to is using 5005 MHz frequency which isn't available in any 5 GH/z usb adapter or PCIe adapter afaik.
