beanfarmer
Hey there hows it going all, i have looked around but i cant seem to find anyone else on the forum with the same problem. I recived my pineapple mkv today as a late xmas gift from my girlfriend, it took like 3 weeks to get here from the states to the uk so im hoping its just me being stupid and not a hardware problem. so like the title says i cant connect to Client mode wifi, using the network infusion at least, i havent tried going down the commandline route as yet although i have looked at my /etc/config/wireless which looks ok as you can see below Executing 'cat /etc/config/wireless': config wifi-device 'radio0' option type 'mac80211' option channel '11' option hwmode '11ng' option macaddr '00:13:37:a5:18:9e' option htmode 'HT20' list ht_capab 'SHORT-GI-20' list ht_capab 'SHORT-GI-40' list ht_capab 'RX-STBC1' list ht_capab 'DSSS_CCK-40' config wifi-iface option device 'radio0' option network 'lan' option mode 'ap' option ssid 'Pineapple5_189E' option encryption 'none' config wifi-device 'radio1' option type 'mac80211' option hwmode '11g' option macaddr '00:13:37:89:d3:85' option channel '6' config wifi-iface option device 'radio1' option network 'wan' option ssid 'passwordTheif' option mode 'sta' option key ' password here i know ' option encryption 'mixed-psk+ccmp+tkip' i can see the network "passwordTheif" in the network infusion but i cant see any networks when i run a iwlist id also like to say thank you to sebkinne for sending me over here and letting me know what kinda info would help you guy diagnose the issue :) thanks again edit: forgot to say i know the password is correct, ive typed it in countless times now. also i didnt mention in my post but the orange/red led does not come on when i go though the connection process. Sebkinne
Hey Beanfarmer, Welcome to the forums! To debug your issue we really do need to see the output if iwlist. To get it, please run the following commands: ifconfig wlan1 up iwlist wlan1 scan In case you don't see any output, please re-run the command a couple of times. If you know, it would help if you could tell us the encryption used on your router (wpa1/2 aes+tkip it seems, but just to confirm). Your device does not seem to be broken, at least not if you see any access points through the network infusion. You may have uncovered a bug though and I would be happy if we can resolve it for you and anyone else facing this issue. Best Regards, Sebkinne
