Hi everybody,

Im trying to set up my Pineapple Mark V as a normal AccessPoint with WPA or WPA2 encryption.

But right now Im just able to change the SSID (In the UI, Karma) or in (etc/config/wireless).

I think that in that wirelessfile the changes have to be done. But I dont know the exact way to do that.

Could somebody give me a hint?

I tryed several thing, but after that wlan0 wont restart. It stays on disabled.

Greetings from Austria

Download WinSCP. Connect to your pineapple. Navigate to the /etc/config/wireless and double click. It will open for you to edit.

Mine has a section that looks like this.

config wifi-iface

option device 'radio0'

option network 'lan'

option mode 'ap'

option ssid 'attwifi' <-----------Change this

option hidden '0'

This link is handy.

MrCarisma,

I would just install the "WiFi manager" Infusion for the MK5. It's a easy way to manage the wireless setting.

Hey,

solution for my problem:

option 'encryption' 'psk2'

option 'key' 'secret passphrase'
