This movie uses a custom Lenevo Thinkpad laptop with windows 7 O.S used by spider. its rumored that windows was tampered with custom linux.there were many hack codes some lasting 10 sec. these are the ones i selected. i liked the movies atmosphere, District 9 director Niell Blookamp uses similar approach in film making including his detail view of every scene,shaky cam, big props from weta workshop esepecially the ChemRail one used by matt damon, bluetooth brain sync data downloader. but i dont know what type of fucking tablet was used by kruger on his arm when he gets updates from elysium. many of you will agree this movie is bullshit, but i personally liked this movie because i know what blookamp is capable off when i watched District 9 that personally affected me just like like dark knight movies .

It seems like more and more "hacking" scenes are more realistic in hollywood movies.

i've watched it ,good for the time period, but movie that changed computer hacks & influenced most was The Matrix. & thats wat u see in metasploit..........

Hackers was so good but so wrong at the same time.

I think its great that Hollywood are starting to use more realistic scenes when filming hacking related scenes.
