bibbinut
Having issues with updating Java 7 in Ubuntu. At the terminal I have typed the following commands... sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-7-oracle Seems to be an issue with webupd8team. Tried this several times. Anyone else having an issue with this? I am using version 12.04 Ubuntu at the moment. Should I try another repository (ppa)? Or should I try tar.gz file? Thanks! vector
why dont you just download it directly from the site.you have to accept the lic agreement before it will let you download. maybe thats part o your issue. i just. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7-downloads-1880260.html
bibbinut
Thanks very much for the suggestion. :) I normally use the url for the java downloads. Gonna stick to that from now on.
