How to change default network adapter to wlan1

I cant get my pineapple to tether to my ethernet adapter. I believe the problem is that I have internet on wlan1 on my laptop and when I plug in eth0 it "defaults" to eth0 for internet, etc on my laptop. Any way to change it so it defaults wlan1 for internet wether eth0 is plugged in or not? Im running backtrack 5 by the way.

It sounds like your network manager is taking over, not an issue with the pineapple.

Disable network manager or turn off it's auto configuration for your adapters.
