Blunderboy
Hey. I just baught the comcast version of the WCG200-CC Linksys router/Gateway. Well least to say comcast makes sure that they get their money and if not they make sure it's hard as hell to take advantage of their hardware. Ok well down to business. Comcast installed in the firmware a little program to where that the router/Gateway always has WEP enabled. I've been trying to crack the WEP password but no such luck as of now since well no users meens no packet exchange. I have also tried to connect directly to the router/gateway via the internal IP address http://192/168.1.1/ config option but still no luck. Also tried the exteranal help IP address, http://209.143.212.20:8080. I am also connected to another wireless router. I disconnect from that before trying to connect to the other one which was first labeled Comcast but after hitting the reset botton it changed it to CustomerID. Also I'm running WinXP Pro. I got a sweet deal on it. I only paid $30 for the gateway an ethenet cable, USB cable w/ USB Drivers, and wall adapter. It was used but still I think I got a good deal on it. VaKo
The default username is comcast, the password is 1234 (linksys is normally admin/admin).
