Kif31
Hi, I just got the new Wifi Pineapple Mark IV and I am trying to make it work from my virtual machine of Backtrack 5R2 64 bits and it does not seem to be working. My question is, is it possible to make it work from a virtual machine and if it is, how, because when I run wp4.sh, it does not work. My setting is like this : The Wifi Pineapple is connected to my pc via LAN. In the virtual machine settings, the network adapter is bridged. In backtrack 5, eth0 connects to the Internet and I have a USB Wifi adapter wlan0. Thanks

Though running from a virtual machine is adding a second layer of complexity, why not just run it from the host?
telot
You'll probably need a usb Ethernet adapter as well. Though running from a virtual machine is adding a second layer of complexity, why not just run it from the host? USB Ethernet adapter (remember to change eth0 to eth1 in the .wp4 script) for the win Or Run ICS on your host machine to the pineapple and connect to it from BT5R2 VM. I too don't understand exactly why you wouldn't just run it from the host machine straight. Theres not much in BT5R2 that can't be loaded onto another OS (at least in regards to the pineapple). For example terminal(s), wireshark, msf...can't really imagine much else you'd need. I run ICS on my OSX host machine where I do all my wiresharking, then load up backtrack in a VM when I want to connect my alfa awus036h to do some airdropping. telot Edited March 9, 2012 by telot
