Asus Eee 1201n Question

Remotesh

Recommended Posts

So I recently bought an asus 1201n on craigslist for 300 bucks cash,

It has upgraded 4gb ram and a 7200 160gb hard drive, and it boots fine and what not loads fast and stuff. (Windows XP)

Well of course I bought this as my pentesting machine so I installed backtrack on and lo and behold trackpad didn't work.

I figured it was a driver issue so I went and set up a dual boot with windows 7 64bit and to my surprise the trackpad buttons

still didn't work.

Note* The trackpad itself works, just not the right and left click.

Is there a tutorial around that shows a detailed process on how to remove the buttons and fix this problem carefully?

I would also like to know if anyone knows a program that will allow me to control the fan speed as eeectl doesnt work on the 1201n.

Thanks for the help guys.
