i just bought my 1005ha from newegg today i would like to boot all of the following

Win XP (could not install if it causes problems)

Win 7

Ubuntu 9.10

Jolicloud

BT4 (if it can be done easily otherwise i will put on SD)

i was just wondering what would be the best order to install the operating systems

i would like to use grub as the loader and have an entry to boot the SD card

thanks gamer43

Why would you need two versions of Windows?

Why would you need two versions of Linux?

Why would you need Jolicloud if you already have one (or more) operating system(s)?

Regardless, install in this order: XP, 7, Jolicloud, BT4, Ubuntu.

you are right i should have explained why i wanted each

XP comes pre installed so i thought i might leave it will delete it if Win 7 works out

Win7 want to try it out

Ubuntu 9.10 i need a linux distro

Jolicloud want to have something with a fast boot time for just checking email

BT4 want to try some of the cool stuff from hak5 on my netbook

if this makes no sense i will rethink my installs

If you are going to install a Ubuntu, there isn't much of a reason to install BT4. Use it from a flash drive or DVD until you can get everything running in Ubuntu. You can image your XP install with Clonezilla and save it in case you want to revert. If you still want XP, and Win7 works, install it in a VM.

you make a lot of sense i think i was just excited by all of different options for my netbook

i think that will dual boot Win 7 and ubuntu then put BT4 and Jolicloud or chromeos

how would i load on SD or usb in grub/grub2
