Recommended Posts

I watched the Hak5 episodes involving Wifi cracking and i would like to know how to either get the MadWiFi drivers or how to put my network card into monitor mode i have an Acer Aspire One netbook and a Dell Revision 4550.

the Acer has an Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter.

i would also like to know any other compatible recommended programs for the AAO. Thank you.

Monitor mode depends on the card you have and if it is capable, but there are plenty of walkthroughs on this to begin with. First learn basic linux networking and get familiar with linux in general. Google would have answered your question if you looked hard enough, as Im sure you will have more once you put the card into monitor mode, you still need to know what to do from there. If you had searched these or even the BackTrack forums, you probably would have found a few threads related to this as well.
