drmaq
I am not 100% sure if I remember this correct but I believe that there was a episode on hak5 that had a segment with putting a vnc server or viewer into a archive with a text file containing the ip address for a server or view and giving it to the person who need the tech support so that they can just click on the icon and run it with out an installation necessary ... thank you for your help in advance

barry99705
Check out teamviewer. It's free for personal use. It's what I use for family members.
systemx17
TeamViewer is sweet for home users. Got work to buy the full version for our techs as well - I like it, especially the Quick Support tool, Automatic session recording and the ability to setup hosts for unattended access. jobdone
yeah I hate to say it , but VNC is a pain because you have to configure port forwarding on routers and if the person is not technically minded and your a distance away then you have problems , teamviewer bypasses all these problems...
