sandred Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I want to run John on FON for brute forcing WPA (pipe it to aircrack). I currently dont have a linux installation to "Make" the file from source. Is there quick way to get john running on FON? Any ideas or help is appreciated. Quote
b0xybr0wn Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I'm not sure how efficient something like JtR on the fon would be. Something like that afaik is processor intensive and the fon would be very slow to crack the password and cycle through any word lists and especially slow at brute forcing Quote
DingleBerries Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Using the fon to capture packets is what you should do and then transfer said pcap to a computer with a decent wpa rt. Quote
digininja Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Don't do it! The Fon is so underpowered for that, go with DingleBerries idea and transfer a pcap file. Quote
sandred Posted March 10, 2009 Author Posted March 10, 2009 Yea, I knew it would be pretty slow, but i just wanted to test a 100 word dict file. Anyways I got it running on windows. Thanks Quote
