Enigma369
Hello all. A friend of mine gave me a fon router a long time ago and it just happen to be a r1 fon. so I decided to follow the instruction and see if I can put jasager on the fon router. I followed the direction and everything went smoothly. However when i finished and rebooted and try to get to jasager by going to 192.168.1.1 I was unable to. I got a 404 error. Did I do something wrong? Does anyone have a clue of what I did wrong? Thanx in advance.
digininja
Are there any other devices on the same IP that could be replying first? You could try going directly to the site, it would be at <ip>:1471/status.rb . You could also check if you can get to the webif interface by going to <ip>/webif.html - assuming you renamed the index.html file as part of the install procedure. Enigma369
Thank you for your help. The fon router is directly connected to the computer I have tried what you have mentioned. When i typed in the <ip>:1471/status.rb, it gave me a 404 error. However when I tried <ip>:1471 it worked. On a side note. my wlan light is not on, can this be the cause of the problem? digininja
Sorry, missed the cgi-bin from the status line, it should be <ip>:1471/cgi-bin/status.rb I can't see my Fon so don't know what lights should be on. If you are getting the site then it is working ok. If your problem is routing then check the other threads for answers.
drwhyer
I get the 404 error on 192.168.1.1 too. Http://192.168.1.1:1471 and http://192.168.1.1:1471/cgi-bin/status.rb work fine, taking me to jasager. But I cannot get to openwrt. I have tried installing haserl and webif putting them both in /tmp/ and using opkg install haserl_0.9.24-1_mips.ipk and all I get is no such file or directory. I am using jasager firmware install. Also /www/ is empty.
drwhyer
Ok Ive got it. I was placing haserl and webif in the wrong folder they go in root NOT TMP. I wish people woud be more clear on those small details. I installed haserl and then webif. now it works.
