I believe it actually has to do with how those devices work and not karma itself. As manufacturers are seeing the security holes in devices and closing them.
-
I am also having the same issue. Possibly be due to the outage earlier today?
-
It might be helpful to others if you post your solution.

I don't see how everyone doesn't get fired up about the power that Linux brings to us and how they can't just jump in there and learn all they can to get the most out of that power. It really is half of the fun of having a computer, being able to actually "DO" stuff other then just surf the web or check e-mail.
To most end user's they don't care to do more than surf the web or check email. Usually if they need something more they contact a friend or a company to assist them. This is what keeps people in the computer field in business.

As we say at work, "GTS". Google That Shit. I was seeing what the community here would recommend. As for using Windows, I only use it for a mean game of Solitaire.

With the amount of combinations, the file is going to be insanely large.

I have had this issue with 1.1.1 for many infusions, not just SMSer. A factory reset/ uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix it. Formatting the SD so far has fixed the issue for me. I will try with SMSer and let you know.

AutoSSH is for having a reverse tunnel directly to the pineapple when the pineapple is unable to be accessed behind a firewall/NAT. There are reported issues people are having with AutoSSH, I believe all do to misconfiguration. Search the forums for autossh. You will find a lot on issues and solutions.
-
Is the MicroSD formatted to Fat32 or preferably ext4? Format the SD through the web interface, then try to reinstall the infusion.

Thanks Darren, It was only a minor inconvenience with the SD card that was shipped with my MKV. I didn't consider it to be a fault of Hak5. You guys make a great product. This is a community project, there are going to be hiccups.
Looking forward to the future of this project.

Have you tried the unbricking instructions? https://wifipineapple.com/?flashing

you want to make the pinapple's wifi secure? So you want to use the pineapple as a repeater? I mean the Broadcast from the pineapple is typically meant to be open so you can be the MITM.

One company I worked for had a policy for standard employees, it would not allow bring your own devices. Unless you wanted the company to pay your cellphone bill you could bring your own device as long as it had specific apps installed to monitor usage and remote wiping etc. Non-Standard employees such as myself, had pretty much free range(with some limits) when it came to having our own laptops at work. They provided cellphones, laptops, and workstations. I had two personal laptops(for development/testing/network tools to make sure people were doing their work) and a personal cell(Android with custom rom with hacked hotspot, which they paid for) and a company cell(minus the monitoring junk.
We found employees that would try to sneak in personal devices(to take work home, etc) and use them on our network. Having the network locked down prevented them from getting far. They could not access the net/local resources and we were alerted when devices were connected to hard wire your tried to connect to wifi. We had certificate base security for the wifi and everything was locked down so only a privileged few could add/remove devices.
I personally don't like others bringing their own device on a network that I manage, Unless they can be justified and monitored. On workstations/laptops we issued, they had the Burners/USB removable media disabled, just to name a couple measures we took.

The setup in the booklet is for ICS(internet connection sharing) if you plan to connect the pineapple via Ethernet to your computer and have you computer connect to your wifi/another Ethernet port on you router. That is how you would use that setup.
I would recommend connecting the pineapple in client mode to a wireless AP and connecting the pc via Ethernet to the pineapple/connecting to the SSID of the pineapple; not using the Ethernet on the MKV.
If you are using Kali Linux and you want to use the Ethernet to the pineapple to the computer(and have wifi/another Ethernet that you want to connect to your wifi) you might want to change the wired connection settings to only use the wired connection for local resources. This makes it easier when trying to access the net on the computer and having it connected to the pineapple
-
What do you mean won't connect to that ip? Explain your setup, more detailed please.
-
I think 95% of people who have a pineapple and an alfa, use it for that.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong. You have the pineapple connected to the computer via Ethernet, the computer connected to the network via Ethernet. you are not able to SSH from the pineapple to the computer via the computers assigned address? On the computer you can SSH to itself via localhost(127.0.0.1) and not the other IP?
Are you trying to use an external facing IP?
I'm still a little confused as to why this is not working. Please provide IPs of the pineapple/server. Maybe something in you config could be the cause. Could you also post the config?(please use spoiler tags)
-
I would say yes, this is possible, but very unlikely to get it to work easily. I would recommend that you replace the screen then proceed with the rooting.
You're looking at $15-$40 for replacement screen. Very easy procedure. and rooting should be a breeze.
-
Also if you get an N compatible Alfa card, you then can scan/access/pentest/etc. those types of networks, as the pineapple is unable to do so with the built in radios.
-
Make a backup first next time :P
SSH then run the following:
wifi detect > /etc/config/wireless && reboot
-
I'm confused as to what you are trying to accomplish. The remote server will listen on localhost(127.0.0.1, or the dhcp/static address assigned) and is you are trying to access it directly from outside the network it is listening on then you would need to setup port forwarding on the router. If you could explain what you want your end goal to be, we might be able to help better.
-
Many reason to use them. They support monitor mode/Packet Injection. Better range/ability to change the antenna. These are just some reasons in which I use my alfa in combination with the one in my laptop.
-
Maybe manually try putting the key on the box.
-
I like the ones with 'ananas' is their name. Seems much more inconspicuous than 'autohack/autocrack' :P
Agreed.

I have used no-ip for some time and have had no issues. DD-WRT has the login info to update it on a regular basis.
