  1. Yeah don't copy the files to the sd......from the flashing page ;

    Do this.....

"Unbricking a bricked WiFi Pineapple MKV

Bricked your WiFi Pineapple MKV? Unbricking is easy and doesn't require any extra hardware!

Download the special factory image. This image is the WiFi Pineapple MKV's 1.2.0 firmware, packaged differently to allow unbricking. Please verify it's md5 checksum to be 167b1533b9dd5c49f7107413fb960bfa.

Power off your WiFi Pineapple MKV and set the DIP switches to up, up, up, up, down (from left to right).

Connect to your WiFi Pineapple MKV via ethernet and set your network interface to a static IP of 192.168.1.2

Boot up the WiFi Pineapple MKV. After around five seconds, you can navigate to http://192.168.1.1

Upload the factory-1.2.0.bin file through the interface. Wait for it to complete.

Set all the DIP switches back to the default configuration up, up, up, up, up (from left to right).

Make sure the SD card is inserted and powercycle the WiFi Pineapple MKV. Your device will now boot the 1.2.0 firmware. Please wait patiently and refer to the first boot instructions in your WiFi Pineapple MKV instructions. You may skip any information relating to the stager.

You are done. Enjoy your freshly flashed WiFi Pineapple MKV!"

    For me that works

  2. Here you go buckyboy223......like m40295 it's most likely your card.........read through that thread.

    https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/31667-answers-to-common-questions/

Your going to need one anyway, go grab you one, even if its a 4gb or 8 gb......class 10......... Bestbuy has 2 types of 8 gb that are the same, but in a different package, but one or the other are always on sale.

  3. Well, hang on, if they used the higher end sd cards, the pineapple would cost more.

They are keeping the cost down as much as they can.

Don't fret it too much, no matter what you are going to learn a lot about your pineapple, it may not seem that way now but you will.

These guys are a small team, but so far from my experience, they really do care about their customers.

They are not going to leave you stuck with a product that doesn't work.

With as fast as Sebkinne updates, you may as well now start learning how to unbrick and flash.

Follow the instructions for unbricking with firmware 1.2.0, in the link I gave you, chances are you will be able to connect. Make sure you set the dip switches the way it says.......very important.

There are tons of help here, and half the fun is learning.

The main thing is to remember if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask.

    Someone will help.

  4. I *think* this infusion may have led my pineapple to a constant boot loop. You can't do anything. It just cycles a reboot. No web interface or SSH access could really happen before it reboots again. It had to do with adding Watchdog to cron. I'm not sure if this is really the case, but my pineapple was working perfectly before this and since that job was set to run every minute, it may be causing this issue.

Happened to me, also, I had to unbrick (soft brick) and manual upgrade my mark v twice........I'm not sure what part of the infusion caused it.

Having a slight problem with that pineapple anyway, so I didn't post about it. I just thought maybe it was just me.

  5. Good Youtube Channels are:

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK15ED34btB3NZznGIXQuwA (Chris Haralson)

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3s0BtrBJpwNDaflRSoiieQ (Hak5)

btw. if you want to lern how the device works, better do it with your own devices and keep others out of your game. Your results will be the same if you play the victim yourself - but without legal consequences. Buying some necessary stuff will be even cheaper than holidays in jail.

Iluvethreeway....listen to Xt4xt1X...everyone here has warned you, no one wants you to get in trouble.

Build you a lab at home, the school will not be happy with you using them as your lab.

This isn't the year 2000, the old days i call them, the laws are very clear and the authorities (school, police, Feds in general) have zero tolerance nowadays.

  6. Look at your logs see if it says you were deauth because of inactivity.

Mine does that, if it does let Sebkinne know.

Here may be another Sebkinne. Now maybe 3 of us?

Edit: after looking at your logs.....it doesn't seem to be whats happening to me.

But what you describe it's exactly what happens to me......... 10 minutes tops and nothing can connect via wifi.

  7. BTW, I am a Computer Security Professional, but working with the GUI Displays, does not give me the access to the command line, logs, and other resources I am used to (but I do appreciate it!).

You can ssh into the pineapple, full command line.

If your in linux even Mac just open a terminal and ssh into the pineapple.

    If on Windows use putty.

To transfer files you can scp.

  8. Thanks Cooper, your wealth of knowledge and your perspective on things, is always helpful.

I'll ask here if I have any other questions.

The XU looks really good too, 4xUSB 2.0 and 2xUSB 3.0, 8 cores, but I see it is about at its eol.

I guess was just to much money for tinkering, and they didn't sell many.

  9. I don't know if this will help......

I had a few problems that seemed like the mark v was messed up, on 2 of them. It was driving me crazy.

The real problem was a faulty power supply, I kept switching out mark v's with the same result, but never used the other power supply.

After hooking one to the elite battery, it worked perfect.

Then I did some testing...........yup one of my power supply's was the culprit the whole time.

  10. I think Cooper said he has one, so maybe this one is for you Cooper.

Is it fast? Looks to be way better than a rasberry pi.

    Is it fairly stable?

I see there is a download called "Kali Fortress" on the odroids forum, that has everything added as opposed to the generic U2 arm at the Kali downloads.

Have you tried to install Kali?

Anything you can share about your experience with the u3?
