Thank you for your help Sebkinne.
It is. It's just not called kismet:
There are:
kismet-client
kismet-drone
kismet-server
Also, opkg has a search option ;)
Best Regards,
Sebkinne

Sebkinne,
We all understand that the warrenty is void when it reaches this point. :D
For a short period of time, whenever I booted up my MKV it was in Bolivia region mode, and it got hot. Still trying to figure out why wlan1 is by default at 27dBm in US reg. Anyhoo, guessing that is why.
May I ask.. why?
There is really not need to add this and I don't see this being a good or safe idea. I do not recommend anyone doing this (as of course, this imidiately voids your warranty).
Best Regards,
Sebkinne

He did say that power came from usb. As for the noise of the fan, I wondered about that myself. Either way, I like it. Always cool to go MacGyver.
This doesn't make sense, fan equals noise, fan equals exponential power drain... If you are just mod'ing for the fun of it, kewl, otherwise doesn't seem to be problem needing to be solved.

If you wouldn't mind, could you link your written tuts as well? Just finished watching your video tutorial on dSploit. There are not enough O's in the word smooooth. :D
Thanks, glad you like them. I'm in the process of creating more but have been running into some problems since one of my USB ports went out. Running a USB mic and a USB network adapter on the same hub is creating issues (mic stops recording audio).
I have done lots of written tutorials... I think I'll start adding them to the Pineapple Wiki.

It was working before and after I installed RR. BTW, RR is working overall but my favorite one, Trolololol isn't working. Makes me sad. ::sniff:::
Good news !
After RR has been installed or you did something else ?
-
The other night when I was testing your changes to RR to fix the 1.0.1 to 1.1 version changes you were making, it jammed me up. Once I installed the 1.2 you put out there, the RR panel wasn't added to the dashboard. 1.2 didn't show that it was installed and when I tried to download 1.1 it would stall. What ever the problem was, the reflash fixed it. I did have a problem downloading it after the reflash but this time it wasn't RR's fault. The tarball download stalled and I shelled in and did a file touch in /sd. OS complained that /sd was mounted read only. I looked in fstab to see what the entry was and it was "/dev/sda1 /sd auto rw,sync 0 0". not knowing what else to do, I did the now obligatory reboot and when the pineapple came back up, /sd was mounted read/write. ::shrugs:: RR installed fine after that. Trolololol isn't working though. :(
How has RR been unsafe to install KingCrimson?

I am going to guess he was reflashing and the amber light blinking means it is searching for the two update files. I ran into this problem when I reflashed 1.0.1 earlier tonight. Took the sd card out. Formated it to fat32, put the two files on it, plugged it back into the MKV and the process picked them right up. For some reason, the files had been erased so....

********** UPDATE *************
Finally having some fun. DNSspoof is working like a charm. Been sending my daughter to www.smellypoop.com all night; much to her chagrin.
Now if I can just get ettercap working. Ah well, baby steps.......baby steps.......

Nice!

************Update*************
Went ahead and reflashed using 1.0.1. I repartitioned the sd so I know there is room.
So far,
radio0/wlan0, radio1/wlan1
Karma is working
So my next question is: Is RandomRoll safe to install now?
Not trying to be a smartass, just tired of resetting and reflashing.

Ah, ok. Thank you (Alpha) Amylase ;) I will give that a try. I'm in the middle of trying to reflash it again. I put the two update files on the sd card using a utility that let me mount ext filesystem from windows but I think they are corrupted. I just get a steady red led when i try to boot back up with all switches in the up position. so.....going to install kali on my second hard drive and then try from there. But, like I said above. Got a test to be worrying about too.
-
Yes, I am able to cd into and list. Just going to try and do a reflash in a couple days. I have a physics test coming up on Tuesday that i need to pay more attention to.

-ash: can't create /etc/config/wireless: No space left on device
root@Pineapple:~# df .
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
rootfs 4224 4156 68 98% /Thought i would try the "rm /etc/config/wireless && wifi detect > /etc/config/wireless && reboot" and got the above error message.
I haven't installed any infusions after the last reset so i am not sure what is taking up the space. Not sure what is safe to remove as well.
Going to peek around and see what i can find. No /etc/config/wireless can't be good. I think I see a reflash in my future. lol

Sebkinne,
I have reset 4 or 5 times now with the same results. Just going to wait for 1.0.2. Hopefull that will fix me up.
Not sure what your issue is to be honest. I would suggest you try this again. Otherwise, wait for 1.0.2 which should finally have gotten rid of the radio0/1 bug.
-
I hear ya. I have just put the mkv away for now. Will stay tuned though :)
Yeah, no worries here either. Given another update is coming so soon, I'm just going to hold off until the 1.0.2 release and then I'll let ya know if I'm still having an issue.
-
Wish it would have worked on mine. lol Glad it helped. I believe I pulled that line from one of Foxtrot's other posts.
-
I am having the same issue. Sebkinne is working on it. You can try the following from the command line:
rm /etc/config/wireless && wifi detect > /etc/config/wireless && reboot
This fixed my radio0/1 switch and allowed Karma to work, but my client interface became so unresponsive i was unable to download infusions and could not pass through.
you might have different results. If you do end up like that, you can always do another reset.

Sebkinne,
I know you guys are working hard. Trying not to get frustrated.
-
Thank you for your reply jdoe. I bought the pineapple because it is grassroots-ey lol and I like what they are trying to do, but I am really starting to get miffed with all this. Seems like I fix one thing that breaks two other things. XD Anyway, if you find anything out, can you shoot me a quick message or link to the fix? I am leaving the switch as is for now because at least I can pass through with no major lag.
Thanx again
Yeah, I am having the same issue, and posted it a few hours ago in the 1.0.1 firmware thread. Actually, the issue may have gottem worse for me after the firmware bump. Before I would get the radio0-wlan1/radio1-wlan0 issue only after a reset, and as soon as I fixed it, it wouldn't reappear until another reset. Now I have the same issue, only it seems to reoccur once and awhile, even without a reset. Moreover, on occasion, eth0 shows up as radio0 as well.
-
Updated firmware to 1.0.1. Did a reset and I get radio0-wlan1/radio1-wlan0.
Physical Interfaces radio0 wlan1 enabled [00:13:37:89:80:20] [Random Mac] radio1 wlan0 enabled [00:13:37:a5:0b:04] [Random Mac]
I am unable to start Karma while it is like this. After I do a "rm /etc/config/wireless && wifi detect > /etc/config/wireless && reboot" to fix it, the connections become so unresponsive that I am unable to even download infusions.....but Karma works.
Thoughts?
Thank you...
