  1. Fluke makes some kick-ace instruments but ya definantly pay for the quality. I have been wondering why Site Survey says that the quality of my modem is about 60% when it is sitting no more than 5 feet from it. Then again, maybe quality is wholly different than signal strength. ::shrugs:: I definantly have more reading to do. Addendum: ::just read the price tag on the Fluke OptiView XG and fainted dead away::
  2. What software/hardware are y'all using to get these measurements?
  3. Personally I am hoping to see Darren's banana phone mass marketed. Phone phreaking and such. Would have great.....apeel! ::cringe::
  4. ROFLMFAO After a typical Thanksgiving with my wife's relatives, you sir, made my day lol
  5. I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, or as the Native Americans call it, Happy "What the hell were we thinking?" Day.
  6. "Jasager runs on any number of devices, but perhaps one of the most effective ways to employ it is on the Pineapple access point. The Pineapple is simply an access point with modified firmware that embeds a number of tools for wireless pen testing. It also has a number of accessories, such as support for 3G USB cards to provide network connectivity when it is otherwise unavailable at the target location and battery packs to operate as a standalone unit. It also is easily concealed, because it could be disguised within any number of housings typically found plugged in at the office." ::grins:: Quit a different mention than Kent Lawson's remark, "The Pineapple is a toy with no legitimate use." XD Thank you for sharing that rottingsun, enjoyed it. :)
  7. ::agrees with Amylase:: Great learning tool. I recommend embracing the command line for better understanding and then appreciating the infusions for ease of use.
  8. Thought this was interesting although most of you have probably already heard of it. http://www.concise-courses.com/security/pineapple-pwn-plug-creepydol/ http://www.gizmag.com/wi-fi-track-smartphone-creepydol/28585/
  9. I can relate to this thread. Whenever my daughter wants to look at Justin Beiber videos instead of doing her homework, she gets sent repeatedly to "smellypoop.com". She eventually gives up after 4 or 5 tries. XD
  10. Dewar's Profile- Turn Ons: Yagis, Bully, & Long walks on the beach. Turn Offs: Patent Trolling, The Five Eyes, The fact that Roger Moore once played James Bond.

  11. Trying to open the "high school powah" but nothing is coming up. :(
  12. newbi3: Thank you very much. I thought it was kind of a chuckle too Sebkinne: I like the way you think. A contest would be an excellent idea and a fun diversion. (nothing wrong with wanting to keep the theme pineapple)
  13. I was sitting around a couple nights ago and having a few cold ones when I decided I would change my banner. This is what I came up with for mine. I was wondering how many of you out there have changed your banners as well. Post them!
  14. Sorry, didn't mean to imply that you had to reflash everytime. I had other issues that I was dealing with as well and reflashing just cleared them all up at once.
  15. I have been messing with Reaver and Aircrack lately. I need to start messing with etter again. Seems like when I first got my MKV, I was able to do a simple poison on my home network from wlan1 but not sure I am remembering right. Like you, I use the command line as well for etter.
  16. Well isn't that a pissa! :( I had one of my file systems fill up awhile ago and was unable to write wifi config files. I resolved it by just reflashing to fix a couple other things as well. I am looking into the USB thing. If anyone else wants to jump in here on that. :D
  17. Wouldn't you have to declare at least the router ip? ettercap -i wlan1 -M arp /192.168.1.254/ // -Tq You are just trying to do a simple scratch -n- sniff right?
  18. I believe rom is suppose to show 100% full. You could try finding large files in other directories by issuing something like: find / -type f -size +10000k
  19. Is ipforwarding on? To check, do the following: cd /proc cat $(find . -name ip_forward) 1 In my instance, ipforward is turned on denoted by a '1'. If the command returns a '0', then ipforward is off. To turn it on, enter the following: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
