Just read through this thread today - 25 June 2013 - I wonder how or if the sentiment has changed at all in light of the Prism story - Especially how many of us have been the lone cry in the dark about the overstepping of many governments on the privacy of their citizens. Being a 22 year veteran of the U.S. military, I am especially concerned over the erosion of our many "rights" in the pursuit of false security and the development of a police state attitude. While Tor is flawed in the sense exit nodes are monitored, seemingly "innocent" operators being guilty of nothing more than idealism being prosecuted for crimes against the "State", what alternatives does one have to protect one's own privacy in their daily pursuit of happiness or commerce on the "net"?
