Gotcha.Yeah i'm still learning scripts and linux period, which is why i take on projects like this. Its alot easier to learn when its something you are really interested in.
Before this and the pineapple i would experiment adding customizations to my piratebox.
Anyway thanks for your help!! I'm going to keep trying and working..back to the ole grind lol

I've notice 2 things.
1 the server will not start for more than 7secs. From what I could see it through 2 errors. Could not determine the error cause it flashes then goes right away.
2nd , when making a drone their is a permission error when trying to run create_ssh.sh which I am guessing is located on a distance server. The logs reveal no information.

ok so now i am having trouble creating a drone pack (option 3 on server side) my device is a kali VM.
was reading through the README doesn't really go into detail on how to achieve this.
Was you able to get this done?
-
Ummm thats when do you get this fun stuff ?
i guess you login as user byte1337 and then git clone https://github.com/molotof/Snoopy
then you go in Snoopy dir then you go and sudo ./install.sh
let me know what happens after you do this, but please nuke your installation and redo it again , i do this quick in VMware
Thanks for your help!!!!! although the errors still appear the install script kept running and i was able to get pass the "cp cannot stat errors"... installing now!!!
-
LOL it is pretty amazing.
I realize its more than just the install script but the rest look easy to install. So i started with the most difficult for me first.
working on the git clone now, never used this method before but from the tut it looks pretty straight forward.
-
guess i was going about it the wrong way.
Was using vi and copying the script over.
i will try it using git clone and let you know how it goes

Looks awesome, only problem is my inexperience doesn't allow me to install the install.sh file
i get the following error
cp: cannot stat `snoopy': No such file or directorycp: target `/home/byte1337/snoopy/' is not a directorychown: cannot access `/home/byte1337/snoopy': No such file or directory[!] Failed to extract files :(i'm sure this is a common issue i just havn't found the right answer for it.have tried running it as root, putting ~/ before the file name. doing chmod x+. 775 and 777still nothing. lol -
Been trying to install the install.sh script, have failed completely. Probably because of my inexperience.

Is it possible to integrate snoopy by gleen at sensepost with the Mark V
https://github.com/sensepost/Snoopy
http://money.cnn.com/2014/03/20/technology/security/drone-phone/
On a side note i have tried installing this W/O the pineapple and havn't been successful on using ubuntu server.

The update installed fine. but MDK3 is still not working for me.

Oh my apologies on the lack of a proper introduction. I own a coffee shop on the east coast. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm-9pm, I teach a class, containing around 10 individuals on how to code and integrate php. I've had several of my students ask me about teaching a class on network security. However network security is not my expertise. I havn't much time to learn a whole operating system, like kali, at the moment which is why I bought the pineapple. Also so I could start with something my students could relate with, that they use everyday, which is wifi.
So with that being said, I wanted to give a real life example in my post above in order to fully convey and explain what I wanted to accomplish so that the community could help me to their fullest extent and wouldn't have to pry for information. -
Hi all. I am brand new to the Wifi pineapple, and only done wps and wep wifi cracking in kali/backtrack so you can just refer to me as "The Noob" throughout this forum cause i'm sure you'll be hearing alot from me in hte next coming week.
so here it goes:
What i am wanting to do: in a nut shell, perform Mitm attack using karma and wifi jammer.
Long version: I want to be able to walk in a free wifi coffee shop, connect my pineapple to the free wifi on wlan1, deauth all the clients offline (except me). Then have them reconnect via karma to the mark V and be able to provide them with internet access via the free wifi at the coffee place.
This is what my set-up is: pc > Mark V > home network (tp-link) on wlan1 (client mode)
Victim devices: iphone 3gs and samsung gs4
Wifi Jammer setup: wlan0 on mon0 started.
Blacklisted: Tp-Link router (home Network)
Whitelisted: none (pineapple does not show up in blacklist or whitelist)
Usage: aireplay-ng with default setting in blacklist mode.
What happens: Everything is deauth'ed. tp-link, Mark V, and all devices.
I was thinking that since the pineapple is not listed in the wihitelist or blacklist i would still be able to
access the Mark V UI since my pc is connect directly to it via wlan1 and i just wouldn't have internet access.
Also from what i can tell karma is not working with the probe request from my victim devices.

I had the same idea just last week! I was also looking around and found this could be done cheaply using a $23.00 tp-link router and some open source software.
-
lol, they are pretty useless now. but surprisingly i do get a 20db + gain in power from my wireless router compared to using my alfa so for a cheap knock off it does well.
-
Nobody? I figured this was an easy question for some of the pros on here,,,
-
Just to add i also have a Alfa AWUS036NH with a 7dbi flat panel antenna i could possibly use, I just wanted to use the cheapest backtrack compatible receiver i own and well the signalking was it.
-
Hi guys! Out of curiosity, I have a signal king 950wn with both a directional and 2 omni directional antennas on it. The box claims it has 48 dbi but we all know that's a lie. Regardless it was cheap "weather proof" and has the Ralink 3070 driver so it's backtrack ready. Anyway my question is if it was mounted on to a tv satilite dish could I turn this cheap little adapter into a long range directional wifi receiver? Here is a link to it here (sorry in advance if links are not allowed here)

ok thank you. makes sense.

Hi complete noob here so alot of episodes of hak5 are above me. The high performance homebrewed router episode was really interesting to me and in it Dareen mentioned that he would be making another episode of how to make the mini itx router for wifi. However I can not find the episode anywhere.
Could someone please verify that this episode was actually made and if so point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
integrating snoopy with the Mark v
in WiFi Pineapple Mark V
Posted
Was finally able to create a drone and install in in a kali VM for whatever reason running sudo snoopy wouldn't work directly in the server VM but would after SSHing using PUTTY. LOL!! but have to hit the bed will let you know more tomorrow.
