Hey well what your asking is possible without the need for an external adapter. However if you still wish to use karma then I would suggest you get a 2nd wireless adapter. Usually people purchase the Alfa Awus036H or the NHA version.
So to answer your question.. Yes you will need a 2nd adapter in order to use karma as well as a wireless relay.

Hey I have my logs from setting up my MF691 its not the exact same modem but should help tremendously..

well most things you will have questions for will be answered somewhere in this guide.
https://github.com/WiFiPineapple/web-interface/wiki/mk4guide3gmodem
Notice that it says V2.x it will still work with 3.0. I have successfully setup a tmobile 3g modem with that guide.
Trust me when I say it was very simple when I actually figured out the problem.
In my case it had to do with my acm driver not being installed and after it was installed and some quick settings config it worked perfectly.
You can take a look at this.. https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/30090-t-mobile-mf691-3g-modem-help/
just my notes on getting my modem to work.

I understand. Yes you will need to flip it over and remove the bottom two rubber stoppers and there will be two phillips screws, unscrew them and carefully lift the board up and it will come apart revealing the serial connection.

read the guide closely please.

Its possible, but your best bet it to try yourself. follow the guide on how to add 3g modems to the pineapple.

if you knew anything about your pineapple you would know that it does have a serial connection on the board.
My laptop has usb connections too. So your in luck cause they make these http://www.amazon.com/NooElec-Adapter-Harnesses-Jumper-Compatible/dp/B009GXEF8A/ref=pd_cp_e_0

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Mobile_Broadband#LG
according to this its not supported due to a proprietary driver.

Remember what Seb said in the video, when you get your New Mark V, there is a card in the box that you need to read carefully!!!

Hey someone buy me a new pineapple and I'll be your best friend :)

Hey guys I'm really drunk Just wanted to say I love this community! I can't wait to see ya'll in person maybe at the next CON. Peace
I am going to be up all night glued to this damn monitor!! :) Wish everyone safe trip out to California for the New Pineapple Event! -
So if they do mesh, then that would mean two separate radios? This will be awesome, can't you use more than three routers to triangulate the position of a target? Hmm I'll buy 4 and set them in ma house!

Mesh network ... Hell Yah... New Video
Hah look 3 posts up! I totally called it!! boo ya

im guessing they were talking via the cell phone, not the pineapple.
Prob, but I couldn't help but think there could be some sort of communication between two pineapples.
I'm sure this would be ideal but would be cool if there were two people at a coffee shop doing some wifi sniffing and could share information between both pineapples on the pineapple local network.
Or a chat so the two attackers could plot out their evil plans...
Like 4 people walking into a Barns and Nobelz and setting up in corners of the building, then each deploy their own pineapple setup and mesh networks. Idk if that would have any real benefits.
-
So part 3 is out and maybe they are selling a special bag to carry the pineapple??? Looks cools
Maybe chat between pineapples?
Ahh only two more days!! Im so excited! :)

So I started following the guide for this on a new pineapple...which is apparently a very different version. It did not work. At all. (I did change the IP information from 192.... like this is to the 172... the current version is using but that was not sufficient)
Anyone have a guide to get this to work on modern pineapples?
There are things called infusions that will allow what your asking. However if your running the new 3.0 firmware then you will not be able to install that infusion due to the fact that it has not been ported from 2.x.x to 3.0
If you are running 3.0 you need to downgrade to 2.8.x and install the rickroll infusion and its pretty straight forward once you get the infusion installed. If you need more help let us know and I'm sure someone can walk you through all steps.

If your using gmail make sure you don't have 2-step verification enabled or I don't think you will be able to communicate with smser unless you set a application specific password in your gmail account.

type scp /the/folder/of/the/upgrade-2.8.1.bin root@172.16.42.1:/tmp

Looks like the driver and hardware is fine. Now you need to authenticate to the mobile network. For T-Mobile, the dial-in number is *99#, with no name or password.
Its been solved for weeks now. I had to install the kmod-usb-acm module in order for it to switch to acm0 to enable 3g. But thanks

Most people have to disable the network manager when using kali linux. There are a few posts that discuss a solution.

Hmm I used the search bar and found this...

Glad you could get it working!

Is a 2nd WiFi adapter required for wireless tether
in WiFi Pineapple Mark IV
Posted
Yes, its one of the reasons the new Mark V has two wireless chipsets. Also helps with power consumption to have the additional adapter built in vs external.
Of couse!
