OK, the firmware is upgraded, and the Pineapple is working well. I would now like to change the default SSID from
pineapple e8:22
to
FreshFruit.
Where can I do this?
Hey Cool Geek,
Please try mkswap /dev/sda2
I had issues initially with my Swap, and retrying the mkswap (not makeswap, although that is what you are doing), works.
I have an 8GB PNY USB, 6GB storage, 2 GB Swap, all now under 2.7.0
HTH.
Ok, swap space question. I used an 8 GB USB which was suitable for the Pineapple. I created a 6GB primary, and a 2GB swap partion. I cannot seem to mount the swap. Is there a limit on the swap space size?
I do not see anything in the Logs, and cannot see the logs, on the pineapple using ssh as well.
Suggestions?
I have the Mark IV pineapple with version 2.4.1 (a recent acquisition). While I'm no stranger to technology, I am having difficulty in upgrading the PineApple to version 2.7.0 (The latest one on the download link).
I can download the upgrade binary, and when I do, I can start the upgrade, but the MD5 checksum presents an error and the upgrade does not continue.
Suggestions?
Well I have a Generic iPhone 4, running iOS version 5.1.1 - I am using Cydia, and can also provide any support that you may need in testing the updates.
Since the MyWi package offers Wifi Hotspot, USB Tethering, and Bluetooth Tethering I thought that it would be an idea replacement for the Andriod.
Please feel free to reach out to me at aewhale@ABS-CompTech.com. Thank you.
I wanted to tether the Pineapple to my iPhone (I'm grandfathered with Unlimited Data). My phone is already JailBroken, and I have the MyWi app which has USB Tethering included. Is this what you would use the phone for?
