  1. petertfm: Correct. I believe it will have more than enough juice to do the trick (at least that's what I'm hoping!).

NotTheFed: I saw that one there too, but I noted the actual seller name and spooked...."The Closeout Masters" just doesn't sound like a good place to buy an expensive battery, but it's probably just fine. :)

The battery I bought is here:

8400 mAh Dual USB Output, and it was only $55.

This is the cable I bought as I already have a USB to Type M:

Dual Male USB to Single Female USB cable - $2.99/ea

I cannot wait for your feedback about the battery :D

  2. The New Trent 11k won't do the trick with a USB drive dangling off the MK4 (at least not one of the Cruzer Fit's), I already tried it.

I've just ordered a Dual USB output 8400mAh battery along with a dual-to-single USB cable.

Should be here in a few days, I'll try it out and weigh back in with the results.

Thanks for the tip! :) I'm not very expert with voltages, Ampere and so on..so i'm getting a little bit confused..But i have to buy a battery pack for my MKIV.. Nothefed i'll wait for your feedback :D

I've a question(maybe stupid one)..Does these battery packs always provides DC in connector to feed the Pineapple? So i don't have to plug a USB hub, one usb for usb memory and one for battery alimentation..

  3. And Karma still works as before? If so, that's an excellent find!

:::telot goes off to test this:::

I'm still curious as to why you'd want to hide the ssid - having it broadcast pineapple as an ssid is bad, we can all agree. Having it broadcast something like "coffee_shop_wifi" or "free_Wifi" increases your chances of victims connecting, particularly if they don't have a saved open access point on their device. I can't tell you how many times my broadcast ssid (free_wifi) shows up in my karma logs...

    telot

That's true infact i'm just testing..However i think in some situation even "Free wifi" or "CoffeShop" could increase the suspect... In fact if in some public places you are usually to see one or two known public Wifi AP you may become curious if "Free Wifi" or "CoffeShop" suddenly pop out when you are not used to see them..Maybe it's because i live in Italy, just few public AP's out there..:(

However Karma seems to be fully working even with the hidden SSID..

  4. Thats how I understand it to work also. I changed mine to "free_wifi" or something similar...I don't want you fellow pineapplers to see "pineapple" show up when you're at the airport with me :D

    telot

Ok guys i've solved: i've added "option hidden 1" in /etc/config/wireless so the last part looks like this

    option ssid Freewifi
               option encryption none
               option hidden 1

So now ther's no SSID broadcasting..

  5. I just change my ssid to something more benign. I think it has to broadcast, or the "clients" won't connect.

That's intersting maybe i've understood the Jasager functioning method. Infact i thought that regardless of SSID broadcast Jasager intercepts probe request by a client for "wifi" and then with a positive probe response to the client as if to say "hey i'm the ssid wifi, let's talk!" and then the magica happens but with no need of any SSID broadcast..:)ps: i've changed "pineapple" to "freewifi" too..Look so innocuous..:D

  6. I have another question if this it's not off topic.. I'm playin' with karma black and white list..But actually black or white listed ssid's are not displayed in the UI. Where's the configuration file so i can see it with SSH? Thanks : )

  7. ptrac3,

We will be adding a nicer interface to view logs like urlsnarf, DNSspoof etc.

It will be in an update not too far ahead.

    Best,

    Sebkinne

I'll study open wrt and the pineapple and depending on my skills try to contribute. Wifi Pineapple it's just awesome, you can close the topic thank you!

  8. ssh into 1.0.2 pineapple and use the cat command.

    cat /www/pineapple/urlsnarf.log

I have my pineapple email me the logs. See my post on ssmtp for how to get that setup, as its pretty awesome

Thanks a lot : ) i put the status in the attachment, should be fine... I asked this cause watching the Shmoocon video i clearly saw Logs with DHCPD, ARP, and urlsnarf field..

  9. Just received the WifiPineapple Mark IV and flash to latest firmware 1.0.2 but i don't understand how i can view Urlsnarf logs, DHCPD logs and so on..(like in the Smhocoon video) Is there an error with the U.I. ? Or i have to update also the UI?
