  1. Hi guy`s

Just have a question some of you Gurus might be able to answer, I trying to set up a monitoring of a eagle nest here in Norway using my Go pro 3 with WiFi pack. the problem is that the signal is way to weak, So, i was wondering. is it possible to use the Alfa R36 as a Range extender/repeater to increase the signal. If so, have any of you a good way to make this a "Plug`n Play" setup. Also i see the power consumption on the Alfa R36 will give me a possibility to use solar panel power to keep it running. am i correct here?

I would really appreciate all inputs and feedback to make this the best real time monitoring as possible,

hope to hear from the forum

    best regards

  2. Hello Thetra,

Can you plase post what you put into the usb_modeswitch and what your 3g script is?

I have the same modem but i can not get it to work.

    Thanks

    Hi webdirector

I used the 12d1:1506 Worked as a charm, JUST be sure you are not on battery power I am currently using a bit overpower, At 12V 2A. and have done so successfully for as long as i had the Apple

  3. Oh Joy, Finally managed to get this to work on the Huawei E353, even dough it showed up as E398. I used the USB Mode_Switch for 12d1:1506, It runs smooth as silk, Thank you soo much guys for helping me sorting this out,

By the way, Just so nobody does the same F"#¤% i did the first 2 hours of trying, DO NOT USE BATTERY POWER before you get it up and running, Damn rookie mistake from my side . Also double and triple check the APN settings, Google is your friend

  4. Well.. Thanks guy this looks like it helped, but any ideas on wtf is going on with this, i have tried all of my carriers setting for 3g but no luck. at least my modem is found now but i have connection issues

  5. Well if it is a Geo Trace your worried about i can see where your going, But if you buy a prepaid Sim, It dont store any credentials, You might be borderline paranoid to start worrying about that:-P

but as Curt Cobain once said : “Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you”

  6. Hi Kevambert,

Well basicly on every thing, Looks like it is not recognized, I used information from Niggizito above, but no luck, I concluded that i suck at mode_switching since i tried a ZTF MF 656 as well with out any luck, If you would be bothered to share how you managed to set it up i would be eternally grateful,

  7. Well... I managed to solve this, A rookie mistake but yet so easy to do, If any one here experience the same problem, Isolate the Parallels under > configure >Options> Security. Set network adapter to Ethernet under networking. And voila.. Rock and Roll. Now i am a happy camper again

Edit: Well it looks like i have miss calculated this a bit, Everything looks like it is working but after a test in lab environment wit 3 ea XP boxes also some linux boxes, No luck, hmmm.... weird enough, the pineapple shows but no auto connect, even dough i made a preferred network, I`ll give some more feedback's after i have tried it on a Win 7 machine. In the mean time, Does any of you wizards have a clue whats happening, I am running FW 1.0.2

  8. Hi guy`s

just wondered, does any of you have experience with the pineapple running BT5 under parallels on a MBP.

to be honest this is my first try on parallels, and since i loved this little "Devil" so mutch i thought i needed to give it a go

on my mac running BT5R2 under parallels, I cant seem to find the correct network setting to get this working, i had a similar problem on my first Pineapple running VMware but this was solved in VMware network manager adding a Virtual network card, in parallels i cant figure out how to do this.

by the way, Absolutly love what Hak5 have managed to put into this beauty, Cudos to Darren, Seb and all of contributing parts.

  9. I use the Pwnplug Elite for some of my gigs, and i have to say, it almost takes the fun out of pentesting, but again it forces you to pick up on you SE skills.

The guy`s in pwniexpress rocks, Great products and good support.
