  1. Since he's booting an offline OS he can't access the local HDD because it's encrypted. AFAIK you may be able to get a driver to mount bitlocker drives in read-only mode if you are on the same TPM and have the decryptio keys but I don't know how to use it
  2. post four is for grub2, my multipass uses grub legacy
  3. Here is my tree bootmgr \EFI \boot bcd \sources boot0.wim boot1.wim boot2.wim install.wim
  4. No, two PE images don't require separate partitions. You must have /boot/bcd /EFI and /bootmgr. Place your PE .wim files somewhere on the drive (I just keep all three of mine in /sources and name them differently. Some .wim files have two parts - such as my win7 universal installer. DON'T rename the install.wim!) Download EasyBCD. Open it and click file>select BCD store, point this to /boot/bcd on your multipass Now you are able to add all of your .wim images to the bcd menu, via "Add new entry" and selecting "WinPE" under "Portable/External Media". Just point each entry to a .wim file. I've currently got three different PE images and one extracted XP OS all booting from my bcd store, which I'm chainloading from grub legacy (via chainloader /bootmgr)
  5. Watch the episode, read the helpful threads on the forum like http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?showtopic=14179
  6. I'm suprised nobody posted this, after figuring it out I realize it's quite simple - Copy .disk, casper and preseed directories to your multipass add this to your menu.lst title BackTrack Text - Default Boot Text Mode kernel /casper/vmlinuz file=/cdrom/preseed/custom.seed boot=casper text splash vga=791-- initrd /casper/initrd.gz works great for me
  7. anyone know how to convert grub2 to legacy? I'm still running grub on my multipass and would LOVE to be able to boot bt5-gnome-32!!!
