  1. Try cruise control.

But then I can't get the song after I decide whether or not I like it! At least, if I start with cruise control off, find a song I like, and turn cruise control to on, then it waits until the next song to rip! What are my options now?

Keep using cruise control, and delete the songs you don't like :p.

  2. Since there still are people that say "My grab button doesn't work!"

I tought it would be better if we placed the fix in one main topic, so no one has to search that much.

If your grab button doesn't work, or your cruise control, here's the fix by MrMath:

Those sneaky guys over at Pandora.

    Here's the fix:

    0) Make a backup copy of pandoraGrabber.js in the pandorajs folder.

    1) Open pandoraGrabber.js in your favorite editor. Note that Windows users may need to use WordPad instead of Notepad

    2) Replace every instance of "downloadMP3" with "pandorasJarDownloadMP3"

    3) Replace every instance of "downloadMP3Response" with "pandorasJarDownloadMP3Response"

    4) Save the new file

    Start pandora over again.

A better idea would be to replace the name of the function with something random. This way they can't do it again. For example, replace "downloadMP3" with "IloveToDownalodMP3s" or replace "downloadMP3Response" with "fxzqrste".

  3. I have a pocket pc, in which Pandora doesn't work (yet).

But I've found a fix, how to control my pc with my pocket pc, but it doesn't have sound.

So now I wondered if there's any software that streams all sounds the computer is making, or something?

If someone can find this for me, he/she would be my hero! :D

  4. You musn't allow pandora, only allow localhost.

But I don't think it will solve your problem. Sorry.

You're right, Birra. The connection is working perfectly and I can listen to music just fine. I just can't grab tracks because PJ can't find the files. And neither can I. I hope Pandora hasn't solved the timeshifting "problem" yet.

    JoeNoob

Have you got the right flash?

Try clearing your cache and stuff.

  5. Just a thought...

As an alternative to all these attempts to rip the Pandora mp3s direct, perhaps you might like to consider the solution that I turned to after very limited success with the methods discussed at such great length above.

I use a program called Replay Music http://www.applian.com/replay-music/index....aming-media.com . You have to buy it (shock; horror), or you can download a free trial, but it's very useful. It records tracks you listen to on Pandora (or any other internet source), and then tags them using Gracenote. It works pretty well; a bloody sight more reliably than any other method I've tried.

I used that too, but the cut function doesn't work that well.

But the names & stuff work pretty well :).

I still think Pandora's Jar is better.

  6. So, I did like 10 pages worth of Fixes, (There needs to be a new updated Noobs guild =D) but I get so close I can no longer click the Grab song link and I still don't get any album info. It plays fine, so. If anyone wants to give me a start to Fin. guide that works and is 100% updated or just try and help me out where I am, I would love ya.

    Thanks

    Adam

The grab song doesn't work for me either, but I don't use that.

The cruise control does work, try that. :)

  7. Lately I'm using Pandora's Box to play Pandora, and that program shows what I'm playing in MSN.

Is it possible to have that function in Pandora's Jar too?

And still be able to rip, ofcourse :P.

    Thanks already!

This is really easy to do.

Browse to the directory you installed Pandora's Box to.

Edit the file pandorasBox.ini in NotePad

    Change the following line:

    ServerAddress=http://www.pandora.com/?cmd=mini

    to

    ServerAddress=http://localhost

You can't resize the window, but you can scroll it to set it even.

    Hope this helps you.

When it started ripping it shut off. :(

And it's IE it's running in. Don't think that'll work.

  8. I made all of the canges to the pandoragrabber.js that mrmath said and

also switched out the JAR and the default.properties to the updated ones,

and it still wont grab on cruise or manual. Still the same exact problem.

Also, if i doubleclick the JAR file, the java window opens, but firefox

doesnt open unless I doubleclick the MS_DOS Batch File also. Tried

cleaning out the cache and all of my temp files and everything but

    to no avail. Any suggestions?

You're not supposed to open the JAR file, if you open the batch everything goes automatic!

  9. please provide more details, what's pandora's box, where did you get it from?

sorry friends might be little irritating but than I really found this very funny...This guy has some 100+ posts and now he's asking what is Pandora's box lol :P

Well, he helps us with his CF Jar's.

I hope the MSN function comes out in CF8.

  10. Mrmath, your fix makes Pandora's Jar download again, BUT it isn't working as it should (here at least)

It records a track, and then when a new track comes, just copies the track and renames it.

    Like this:

    Song a plays first.

    Then song b plays.

Pandora's jar copies Song a, and renames it to Song b.

    Then song c plays.

    Pandora saves song c correctly.

    Then song d plays.

Pandora's jar copies Song c, and renames it to Song d.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how to say this in different words :P.
