I think you got lost some where along the lines. Did you create a entrie with a unique name? Also, some times it is put in two locations in the registary, after you found it the first time did you search again?
didnt search a second time and the one u c on the right is the one i created ...
*edit* did a re-search but it gives thez same result, can u give me a screenie of how it shud look ?

*copies from notepad with out having done a spell check of any kind*
The easist way to fix this is like so: Open the folder object in the file assosiations manager thing and create a new entrie, give it a unique name such as blablablabla. It dosn't matter what program you make it run, just make sure windows is happy excepting it. Then open the registary and search for blablablabla (or what ever you called it). You can check that you have found the right key be looking to see if there is another key called find in the parent key. If there is, you'v found it, now simply delete both blablablabla and find. Problem solved.
i think i kinda got halfway , this is were im currently @
now wot do i do ? (i have tryed deleting all in the folder one but still the same so placed em back)
-
how do i disable it ?Try and reverse the process, if that fails, try disabling the search service and see if it gives your directroy view back. Any idea what caused this? -
You best option is probably to have a poke around in "Folder Option" (Control Panel -> Folder Options - if you didn't know).
I had a look in there but couldn't find anything in there that looked related to what you have said. However there is a reset to defaults button for all the folder options so I would have thought that will solve the problem (because it will make them like you have just re-installed).
That is unless it is a third-party app that has cause this problem.
nope thats where i somewere i screwed it up tho ,
but allready tryed the reset button but didnt work.
and doubt its a 3rd party app couseing it :(
-
ok this is the problem
i seem to've done something wrong with the folder settings , now when i double click to open a folder (any folder on any HD )
it doesn't open the folder just opens a search window (of the built in search function)
so when i wanna get in to the folder i have to type the path to go to it.
how in hells name do i fix this ?
(pls dont say reinstall or remove ....)
(hopeing on a short quick answer)

just to make it easy on u guys
this is a belgian ftp with almost all linux distro's on it
and is a official mirror of most of the official distro sites ...
the ftp for the distro's is (also look in sub folders!)
-
wtf , inform me *falls from sky*
wots the ip , port , n stuff ? ....
i'll drop on when no-one's on my clan vent ....
-
round the end of day 2 they announced a pr0n compo (wich comes down to who's ever got the most pr0n on his pc wins a new keyboard n mouse )
Jeez. Now _that_ is sad.
And call me old-fashioned, but the filesharing bit should be pretty low-key on a lan party IMNSHO. The goal is to play games. So... PLAY GAMES! Share a couple of games if you want to play along or some movies if you want to take a break from gaming, but what's the point in having 50 TB available online when you're gonna be gone in a day or 2 and your plan was to use your network resources to play those friggin games?
ye , but also take in mind it was a hot full gigabit network :P
i was like , hmm woud they notice if i take this switch ?
-
ok so everything went ok, on the second day they did open the DC++ server (for filesharing)
luckely there wasn't a bust , tho the fcc has been present @1 point and @ that point the dc++ server did went down , they didnt confiscate anything only warned em , there wasnt enough on the net to do a bust ..... only 3-4TB
wich is nothing for a 300ppl lan
to bring this in perspective i used to go to laglan (15-25 ppl) and they usually have 50 TB ...
tho @ 1 point i was wondering who was still thinking cos round the end of day 2 they announced a pr0n compo (wich comes down to who's ever got the most pr0n on his pc wins a new keyboard n mouse )
-
Don't want to pay for AntiVirus software? I don't see why any one should, there are prefectly good free ones: ClamWin (open source)
wot bout avast ? , AntiVir cant run on a 64 bit machine , havent tested AVG , but we had a worm and trojan on the network and thru DC++ on L4C (lanparty i went to last 3 dayz) and avg didnt detect the trojan ....(tho it was on that pc (did find it thru the housecall (online trend micro) ) http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
dont know if avast detects it tho cos i didnt get the trojan ,
(i looked the trojan up in a online db and it says it usually publishes itself as porn i didnt dl porn so could explain why i didnt have it ...)
-
hmm lets see :
bush : preform a serious upgrade !!
bill gates : overwrite with backup of linus torvalds
...
-
ok tomorrow i'm going to L4C (lan for charity)
first lan i'm going to since that bust ....
being verry paranoid hopeing they dont bust in there ....
its a lot larger then the one they busted (that one was 30 ppl this one's 300 ppl)
and it is for charity so most ppl are pretty sure they wont fall in ....
i really hope they wont aqswell cos i'll take my new machine (+ €2000 machine) and i swear if they dear take that no matter cop or not i'll keep kicking his ass until i cant kick no more .....
anyway hope 4 the best ...
-
@ least here they get to feel some pain in BB
seriously its almost done down here but they did have to suffer :P
a lil while back they had get blood suckers on em , all they earned with it was a bar of chocolate :P
btw u can watch the belgian one on livestreams online (3cams and 1 mix) ....
i've hotlinked em all
here r the hotlinks for the live feeds :

That reminds me... It would re realy cool if Tux was featured in Reboot... perhaps Tux should save the day in some way... or perhaps Tux should get beat down, then the BSD deamon turn up and help tux kick ass :P

o and here's the english translation of a poem i once wrote for a gf of mine ....
( dont ryme cos of translating , dont make much sence anymore either ...)
title : concentration
u're in my head
i try to concentrate
i constantly think of u
but i have to study
its like hunger for apple's
in a garden of pears
how i look forward to ...
see,feel,kiss your skin.
you look o so beautifull.
to hear u speak such a wonderfull sound.

ok i'm actually verry poeitic but not in the positive sence .....
this is from 3 years ago or so ....
bout a girl from school ...
it mixes future with past and speaks as current bout future , guess it dont make lotta sence but hey ....
(explicit lyrics jadajadajada .....)
title : damn dirty bitch
I hate you
you damn dity bitch
they shud cut your body up and put it in a fridge.
you're a ice queen
i know where you're going , i know were u've been
you never learned anything
all u ever needed to do was suck the teacher's dick
and even he knew you were just a prick.
even when u're frozen up u'll be f*cked by him and his kin.
you think and look like your thin
but your neck is just a thick as the teacher's dick would've been
you've always been the cool kid
now u're just old ,stretched out and stupid
you're old ,ugly , bad
the teacher was glad about the thousand blowjobs he had
now there's no more beauty, just fat
u'll have no more money, just a dirty old shirt in plaid
