  1. You could always sign up for a sattalite connection ;)

That's a good point just go over to a satellite internet connection provider.

(it's a lot expenser but at least you have normal internet acces)

Its a bit more expensive than a normal cable/adsl ISP thats true.

In the past i have bin setting up 2 of those satellite internet connection in Africa so that a local schools in got a internet connection.

    So it is do able.

  2. IT WON'T HAPPEN, just maybe a coupple of ISP's but think about it, when all ISP are going to do this their just have to be one man to launch his own ISP withouth restrictions

I am not so sure about that, when a government of a country want all the ISP's in this country to block or restrict certain site's than there is no one person that can do anything about that with out breaking the law.

    That's a 16dBi Yagi with my 500mW card

 I got the same card in my collection of WiFi cards even made (some time ago) a report over this card (sorry is in in Dutch)

Its a great card bud illegal in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and a lot of other euro countries (the output power is to high).

Maxi out put power of Wlan hardware in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and a lot of other euro countries is 100mwatt (erp) or in other words 20 dBm (erp).

So your WiFi setup is so highly illegal in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and a lot of other euro countries, and also take in consideration that Germany got a law against wardriving and makeing us of open WLan networks so be carfull (240 days of German jail time is not so mutch fun)

  4. (the only problem i have with Berlin is that hardly any body speaks Englisch and i don't speak German).

disagree --- at least, 80% of the germans do speak english.

    incl.  me

No its the other way arond 20% speaks Englisch and 80% only speaks and understand German (that's why all Englisch films on German T.V are still synchronisat in German with German voices)

  5. for 4 years following in a row iam the founding father behind the (small) WirelessPowerKamp open  air meetings/events (in Englisch its WirelessPowerCamp) here in a small town in the Netherlands (near to the German border).

And found out that metatron statement

Europeans tend to be a little more reluctant to travel to generally untested events
    is verry true.

Add first WirelessPowerKamp open  air meeting/event in 2005 only a hand full of people turned up, the second WirelessPowerKamp open  air meeting/event in 2006 more people turned up.

And add the 3th WirelessPowerKamp  in 2007 people from Belgium and Germany  joined this open  air meeting/event.

And now for the up coming WirelessPowerKamp  in 2008 air meeting/event we have to take care that we will not be over booked.

    So yes metatron statement

Europeans tend to be a little more reluctant to travel to generally untested events
    is verry true.
