Okay boys here is the way I see it. I was stationed in Korea for two years a few moons ago. We do not pursue NK because of the Chinease, they have had the North's back for many years, and no one with any sense wants a war with China.
North Korea is broke, the people are starving, it's a wonder that they can keep the lights on. I was just discussing this with my boss the other day, he has read that the Chinease have been turning away huge waves of North Korean refuges ( I cannot verify this though).
This isn't the first time this has happened. When the coffers start to look a little barren the North starts spewing nuke propaganda and we eventually give them cash to stop. Right now the North wants to hold talks with America and leave out China and Japan because they now we will puss out and give them more money.
I bet that there was NEVER a nuke test to begin with, just a ronrey rittle man trying to get some free cash. His downfall will be pissing off the Chinease, once they wash there hands of North Korea, they are toast.

My wife and I both play WoW and we loved this episode. One of the best ones I have seen and I have watched it since it started.
-
I'll be in my bunk.
-
I'm still trying to decide if I give a shit, get back with me later.
*edit* thanks for the heads up PoyBoy, I keep forgetting to check back in on things that I don't have an RSS feed for.

And if you do one with a n64 controller it could double up as a cod piece!
You could be on to something there, maybe if I get one the Atari Jaguar controllers..................

if I play too much I will miss all the cool crap my kid does
What? like burp and fart?
No, like post crap on myspace, chat on AIM, send texts on their cell. The important moents in a clilds life. :-p
I weep for the future

Take me out to the black, tell 'em I ain't coming back.

I've been playing for about 5 or 6 months now. My wife and I started accounts togehter, we play toghether most times.
It all comes down to self control, when we first started we really wanted to do nothing but play, but didn't. Besides, if I play too much I will miss all the cool crap my kid does, no game is worth missing that stuff.

I think that this is a great idea. Now if I weren't so fat that you can't see a belt buckle anyway, I'd do it myself.
-
This never stops being funny.
-
Ahhhh I didn't even think of that. I really want a tablet PC to play with.
-
What kind of machine are you running that on moonlit?
-
They are supposed to make the "big announcement" today. I will have to keep my eyes open and see what happens.
I have never really used any Apple product besides iTunes but I allways find myself watching the keynotes at these events. I love 'em.

Try removing the quotes from the program path.

Who gives a shit, it’s like people that say they have been using Slashdot for years, like that’s a big thing. The big difference is at least a lot of the Slashdot users have a basic level of intelligence, unlike a bulk of Digg users.
This just needed to be quoted. Metatron for Emperor!

Ohhh .. i know
Do ya?

Welcome to last episode boys. I thought I had a piss poor memory. :D
-
Yupp, moonlit hit it on the head. The typical install will let Windows grow and shrink the page file as it sees fit. You can change it to a set size or move it to an independent disk. Didn't mean to make it sound like you should delete the page file, that would have been a bad thing  .

If your not one of Wess's 54 friends, your not cool!
If you are one of Wess's myspace friends, you obviusly have a myspace acount and deserve to die!
You know Sparda, you and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, but I have to say, I am with you on this one.
:D
-
You may also want to check and make sure that your page file isn't getting out of control also. I have run into a few systems where Windows will expand the page file and suck up what free space you have left.

Thats when you sue for unfar dismissal. Unless of course you have been hired as a programmer' date=' otherwise he cant actually fire you because you dont have the skills to do something that he wants done.[/quote']
Texas is what they call a right to work state, they can fire me because they don't like the shirt that I am wearing. To be fair, I went back to talk to him after work today and he knows as much about Perl as me. He doesn't expect me to write anything, he just hoped that I could find something we could use. I have a habbit of spending days burried in Google and forums and finding a workable solution to our issues.
Bottem line, we need to work on our communication skills in IT department. :D
Thanks for the suggestion wetelectirc, I am going to try that. Memory won't really be an issue, the folder is controled by three people and we know exaclty what will be dumped in there.
-
There's nothing he can say/do thereafter.
"Your fired, get your shit and get out." Guess that kinda blows a hole in that theory eh leetabix? :)
I was able to find out that we have a pearl script that is doing almost everything that he wants done. The only difference is this script looks for two very specific files and we need it to look for any file.
So, since I am unable to just say something and convey my meaning here is what I have that needs changed:
my $WorkDir = '/home/samba/'; my $ArchiveDir = $WorkDir . 'archive/'; my $SourceDir = '/home/bostax/'; my @Files = ( 'tax_proptrust.csv', 'tax_propparcel.csv' );
I am trying to find a way to have the my @Files portion look for a wildcard of some kind that will apply this script to any file in the specified directory.
Again, thanks for all the help with this one![/code]

I'm still not sure how this keeps happening to me. My boss (the coder) comes to me (the NOT coder) and asks me to write a program/script to get a few things done. The fact that I am not a programer seems to lost on folks.
Anywho, this is what he wants done, if anyone knows how to do this or can point me in a direction so that I can try it, I will praise your name, in this thread.
We want to have a folder where we can drop some files, have them encrypted with GPG, FTP'ed to a set location, create a log of the transaction, and then delete the files in that folder. It would seem that he wants the script (or whatever) to scan the folder all the time so as soon as files are dropped in the folder everything kicks in.
It doesn't matter what the language is, he just wants it to work. The only experiance I have ever had was a year or so ago in VB6 so I am at a loss.
Thanks for any input, I'm headed back to Google.........

Anyone know if this is taken care of? I'd like to send one if it isn't too late.

Let me put it to you this way.......
I have never been sucked into an MMO, played them all EQ, Planetside, yadda yadda. Hell I even played Star Wars Galaxies and walked away. I am George Lucas' bitch and I walked away clean.
Now, I'm in a guild, have gone on raids, I am leveling my character instead of running around like a tool. I do tradeskills, I purchased headsets for my wife and to talk on Ventrillo to our guild while we play. I'm in this one, but good. So be carefull.
Seriously though, it is a ton of fun, I can get on and play for an hour or so and still manage to make progress, just keep things in perspective and be able to walk away.
