The new Pineapple Juice 7800 offers 98 Wh at 12 or 5 volts with both DC barrel and USB ports. The size of the pack is slightly larger than the 6800.

The announcement was made on the live stream of the Hak5 warehouse warming party. HakShop EU is online with select products.

Funny thing is - those are the same logistics holding up our EU distributor at the moment. No matter how you slice it, the man gets paid.

The error implies that you aren't in the working directory of the ipk file when issuing the opkg command. Move to the directory from which the ipk file resides and reissue the command. Alternatively specify the complete path in your "opkg install" command. e.g. opkg install /sd/file.ipk

We'll have an announcement regarding this on Friday the 28th, and likely more on December 6th. :-)

Also my apologies for not taking your call today. I was 10 feet up hammering together shelves in the new warehouse when it came in. It was sent to voicemail and will be reviewed in the morning.

David,
The automated risk analysis score of your order was extremely high. This score is based on a number of factors including billing address vs shipping address vs IP address from which the order was placed. Order anomalies trigger a number of responses - in this case canceling the order. Unfortunately due to the amount of fraud the HakShop receives (almost 10%) we must rely on these systems.
Please understand we are a small company -- it's just Sara and I running the HakShop. We want to serve you to the best of our abilities, and we need to protect the company as well. Sometimes false negatives cause these problems, and I do apologies if in your case that is a fact.
Feel free to email myself, darren@hak5.org, and Sara, sara@hak5.org directly and we will do our best to serve you.
Regards,
Darren

Careful about using a Lithium battery with that solar charge controller. I have the same one and from what I recall it's made for Lead Acid or AGM.

W = A(V)
MK5 accepts 5V - 12V and requires ~10W
So 5V @ 2A = 10W
Or 12V @ 1A = 12W

Ok, this is a total hack but since you're into those I thought I would mention something interesting I saw at DEFCON.
Basically the idea was command and control based on SSID.
So, have a script on the MK5 kicking off every X seconds looking for an SSID with the name "PineappleControl_EEF5205D6A_STOP" -- perhaps with iw list wlan0 scan | grep, or just watch the kismet logs -- that's probably even better.
Then if the special SSID is seen, have it gracefully shut down kismet.
Initiate the SSID from the WiFi tethering app on your phone.
BTW: I love your script!

Yes. Just connect Ethernet between the PC and MK5. The PC should receive an IP from DHCP and you're off to the races.

There seem to be a few different issues at play here.
Based on your load average it is possible that the watchdog is causing the reboot.
To best diagnose the problem we'll have to work on each one at a time.
Using a freshly flashed MK5 with the latest firmware, can you please confirm the following works:
1. Flash 2.0.4
2. Connect to WiFi Pineapple via Ethernet
3. Enable MK5 Karma, PineAP, Dogma, Beacon Response and Auto Harvester
Keep an eye on the logs and CPU usage. In one terminal logread -f while in another terminal top
Does the MK5 reboot?
If no, add ICS to the mix
4. Connect ALFA AWUS036NEH to the MK5
5. Configure Client Mode for wlan2
Keep an eye on the logs and CPU usage. In one terminal logread -f while in another terminal top
Does the MK5 reboot?
A separate issue seems to be that of a client "ac:22:0b:6d:3c:10" -- can you provide more information on the device, the AP it's attempting to associate with and any additional information about the scenario (location of target). As per the issues regarding Deauth and SSLStrip, those are best directed in their respective support threads. One possibility of ensuring simultaneous operation of all processes would be to use a process management tool like "nice".Based on your top report for instance you seem to have 3 instances of aireplay-ng running on wlan1 while PineAP is enabled. This leads me to believe the interfaces are being exhausted. -
The ALFA AWUS036NEH has a pretty low power draw, less than 200mA IIRC. I'm not sure about your specific usb ethernet adapter but I'd say give it a try on a spare hub and see. Oli is right, the MK5 has an internal usb hub to support the integrated realtek and micro SD card reader. There should be enough left over for both devices.

White listing can be achieved through the Karma configuration, and soon to be through the reconnaissance interface.

What do you have attached to the MK5s SMA ports?
-
Standard troubleshooting procedure suggests attempting connection to another WiFi router. Does the MK5 exhibit this behavior when attempting a client mode connection to other WiFi routers? If not, what is different between the routers to which it may connect and those it cannot?

Matt, thanks for contacting us at the hakshop. We'll be getting a replacement right out to you.

- Really could have done with female header on the pins to stop people having to get the soldering iron out straight away.
Where?
- Quite a small board, but a not fantastic use of the space. For anything non-trivial you are going to need to attatch an additional board... Would have been noce to have a prototyping area (with standard 0.1 pin pitch) actually on the board.
Thought about it and may still have it done as only the next batch of samples are in production.
- Missed a great selling point for the board - would of been nice if some stock functionality was there so that people without soldering irons etc would still have a reason to buy the board. Stick in a real time clock, some RGB leds and a few switches along with the pin breakouts and that would be instant win (kind of like the Pimoroni Pibrella)
Great point and one hopefully we can address. I'm really keen on using the platform as a way to introduce a lot of this stuff to the show.
The link to the Eagle files doesn't work - both links lead to the schematic:
Oops. Fixed now. Copy pasta mistake.

I was monitoring status while I had the pineapple running (had all pineap features enabled plus sslstrip) and once one client connected the cpu was pegging at 100% and within a few seconds it rebooted (it even happens without sslstrip). Maybe that has something to do with it. It is unusable for me. I already requested an exchange and waiting for it to be approved. I'm hoping I just have a bad one. There's just no way one connected client is causing this to fail this way. It makes no sense.
Can you tell us more about the client that connected causing the 100% CPU. Can you describe the client and what sort of network load it was pushing? Does the same happen when other clients connect or just this one? I've just come back from a job where I had over 100 clients and didn't have any issues. This is with evil portal, karma, pineap, dogma, and harverster on 2.0.4 from a new 12v pineapple juice prototype.

We're pretty much doing just this with the wifi birdhouse project.

First bit of HDK info has been released at http://wiki.wifipineapple.com/index.php/HDK and the rest of the stuff will be updated as soon as feasible

Walk us through exactly what happened. How did you update (SSH, OTA?), what happened after flashing? Did you get to the welcome screen / initialization wizard? Do you receive an amber light with Ethernet plugged in? Have you tried the recovery DIP switch configuration?
