    Pineapple V2

It would be nice, if you would give more details of what you have done. Ain't enough for us to help you.Did you buy pineapple V2 from hak5 store?
  2. Digip I like that idea disguising USB sticks to house golf items. Im not sure if I have a space Usb mouse tough.
  3. Hi. I have 10 old 512MB usb sticks which are just laying around with no use. Those are SanDisk, so those have U3 installed. Only thing that I came up was to put some "viruses" on those and to leave those sticks on public places. Probably not the best use... nor legal... I have even opened one to see how they really work... So what I could do with those sticks. Any Ideas.
  4. Not many usually 1-10, mostly 1-3 files once. Unless Im senging music, then its easily 20-40 files once. And in that also I use apache. And when traveling I usuallu have as many as possible movies with me. I also tend to watch HAK5 and tekzilla from my iPod touch.
  5. Thanks for replys. As I mentioned earlier, I prefer not to directly connect my iPod touch to my laptop. Could I somehow avoid copying every file to /var/www, when I want to download those to my iPod. could I somehow create a link or something.
  6. Well netbooks have smaller keyboards, so you definitely have to try it before buying, since typos is something you really dont want. I have Dell latitude D420, which is 13" Its old laptop, but it works well. You may find used dells cheaper that those netbooks.
  7. Iv used ssh, but it eats iPods battery really quick. Using apache + safari is more energy efficient.
  8. I watch a lot of movies from my jailbroken iPod touch. Since Im using Ubuntu as my main OS I cant have Itunes. I can use some other tools, but I dont like to connect iPod to computer via usb cable. So my ubuntu 10.10 is running apache2 server and I just copy all files I want to send to iPod to /var/www/ which is my webservers root. Then from iPod using safari I go to my web server and download those files. However it takes some time to copy files from /home/user/Videos to /var/www. especially with videos. So is there an easier way to do it. I prefer terminal, not gui. Could I somehow link that file from /home to /var/www.
  9. root@jarmo:/pentest/passwords/crunch# # ./crunch 10 abcdefghijklmnopqrstuwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUWVXYZ1234567890@! Crunch will now generate 10992836709833658368 bytes of data Crunch will now generate 10483586034616 MB of data Crunch will now generate 10237876986 GB of data 10237876986 GB = 10.24 EB (exabytes) so its a big file. For some reason I couldn't add any special characters. its 1.024×10^7 TB = 10 240 000 TB (terabytes) http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=10237876986GB+ So You are going to runt out of space. And then cracking a password with such password list takes its time. It takes way over 100 years to crack a password - unless you have access to some really powerful computer.
  10. But when Gerix is started from terminal it shows the commands use. Its an easy way for starters to learn hacking wifi. And if for some reason your commands won't work, then you can try gerix to see if you had problems with commands, or in something else...
  11. Thanks, I will reinstall grub. next week. Im using Ubuntu 10.10 as my main OS, so could I just follow those instructions with out that liveCD/DVD part. Or would it affect my laptops GRUB installation.
  12. It really depends where you want to download. For vimeo and YouTube are good tools for Linux. And there are lots of download plugins for firefox. I havent tried any yet.
  13. Hi, I had some problems with grub detecting kernels, so I updated grub to grub2. Iv done it meny times successfully, so I decided to install it straight, with out that chaiload option to see if grub2 works. However now it wount go to grub, shows a bunch of errors, that on each line is a error... It puts me to terminal. How could I use it to boot to bt4. That broken grub is installed on external hdd, where is only bt4 installed. I could easily just reinstall bt4, but I would like to learn how to start bt4 from grubs terminal.
  14. Yea, but I just first need to get grub working so I could boot to BT4.
  15. Yea its a live disto but it helps to learn if you install it and use it for daily use too. Not forever but untill you got better understanding how to use it. At bt4 forums was told that you can upgrade atleast to R1 jut by apt-get dist-upgrade. So who wouldnt it work with R2.
  16. Well usually there are some updates. That software sources app vas not working and at start menu was no entry for synaptics so there was somerhing wrong. I foud out that there was a newer kernel installed but it werent in grub. Update-grub didind detected it but it didnt show up at boot menu. Then i decided to install grub2 and now grub doesnt work at all. It gives a lot of errors. It says that theres a error on row 1. It gives errors for each line. And puts me to command line. So i have to find out how to manually get bt4 started from grub2. I have bt4 installed on external hdd so i can edit files easily. And recover all important files before installing bt5 when its released.
  17. Hi. I installed BT4 last year, when BT4 final was just released. I used if for a couple months. At that tine apt-get update/upgrade/dist-upgrade worked well. Then when BT4 R2 was released I upgraded it again after a long break. Now when I start BT4 it says welcome to bt4 R2... However it uses a old kernel. uname -a Linux bt 2.6.30.9 #1 SMP Tue Dec 1 21:51:08 EST 2009 i686 GNU/Linux and when Im trying to update it apt-get update download those package lists apt-get upgrade just says that 0 to be upgraded. apt-get dist-upgrade also says that 0 to be upgraded. Im sure, that there should be some updates available. apt-get ain't completely broken, cause I can install other programs. So whats wrong with it. How should I troubleshoot it?
  18. I also tried to run arpspoof only once. It didnt help. Im using static IPs on my home wlan. Might the be the reason, why I cant arpspoof? My router is running dd-wrt.
  19. Hi. Im trying to arpspoof and dnsspoof. echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward aprspoof -i wlan0 -t 192.168.1.10 192.168.1.1 arpspoof -i wlan0 -t 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.10 Now this disables internet connection from target machine. Why? Its supposed to route all traffic through my computer. If i run dnsspood -i wlan0 it shows me all dns requests, but still no connection on target machine. Actyally why Im doing this it that I want to direct all sites, that 'victim' tries to go to my server, (or to google.com) I have set hosts file for dnsspoof google.com *.* It should redirect everything to google.com correct? and dnsspoof -i wlan0 -f /path/to/host/file However this doesnt work with my BT4 "R2" and ubuntu 10.10 (victim). I have no other computers to try.
  20. Thansk.Im still waiting for dual core androids to come.
  21. In DD-WRT you can use chillispot and freeradius server to create that hotspot. It just requires that your wlan router supports dd-wrt.
  22. Thanks for reply. I think that at in 1st quarter of this year should come 2 core android phones, at least to Finland, my home country. I need a sim card in my contry, so I could easily use my own number and if needed I could use prepaid too $600 is quite cheap, in euros its 440€ and when Im prepared to use 500-700€ for my phone its $700-$1000 so Its enough for any phone I think. So they also sell phones with out contract
  23. It works well, but those are just too irritating.
  24. Hi, I use VLC a lot. And usually use it from terminal to watch videos. However, when VLC in started from terminal it gives a lot of errors. Like in latest Tekzilla MP4 Large It gave me a bunch of errors. Is it OK, or should I react to those somehow. Im using Ubuntu 10.10. Any of those errors doesn't effect videos in any noticeable way, but all that on terminal is irritating. jarmo@jarmo:~$ vlc tekzilla--0187--top-5-products-at-macworld--large.h264.mp4 VLC media player 1.1.4 The Luggage (revision exported) Blocked: call to unsetenv("DBUS_ACTIVATION_ADDRESS") Blocked: call to unsetenv("DBUS_ACTIVATION_BUS_TYPE") [0x9daa914] main libvlc: Running vlc with the default interface. Virtualization Pc

I dont know what products Darren used in last episode, but he build 3 servers under 1200$ so one might be only 400$, which is pretty cheap. I dont know it those machines are powerfull enough for your needs.
