  1. If your maxed out on space then your AGP slot is filled with something (which is the slot I'd say would be the easiest/cheapest to use) so use whatever is in your AGP slot to do the video. Most nVidia and Radeon cards can do this just fine.
  2. Yeah, after a bit of reading up that I really should have done before posting that I realize how stupid I sound. I take it back.
  3. One of these days somebody is going to need to figure out a way to put the things to good use... Even if the connection is propriatary the screen is still functioning just fine... I realize that the connection is necessary for the screen to DO anything, but still, there's got to be a way to bypass that connection...
  4. Until you have to fix machines for a wide variety of a people and it's no longer a question of "Are you running windows XP or an earlier version?". What this means is that now to fix machines we have to learn the same operating system three different ways to be able to understand what is potentially generating a problem. Okay, it isn't really a problem, it's just annoying.
  5. For those of us lacking two grand though a simple video card with TV support will work. Most laptops now have at least S-Video or a Composite connection, and basically all cards made in the last year or two by nVidia and Radeon have tv in/out support. On my desktop at home I run a Radeon x700 Pro and have been known to hook a PS2 or N64 up to it from time to time. If you tell me your video card I'll PM you a quick setup guide.
  6. I would recommend reseating the RAM, especially for the number of beeps. If reseating/swapping out the RAM doesn't help then try the same with the video card. Those beeps are part of the POST check, they are supposed to let you know if the POST check encounters any problems while scanning your hardware. Kudos to you if you get it working, I have a board at home with two blown capacitors and if this is all it takes well, *shrug*, it never hurts to have a functional board lying around.
