  1. I mostly run into a lot of 2.5 GHz networks still, 5ghz has its limitations. In thoery, if you found a USB stick that the pineapple supported you could add a single 5ghz antenna.
  2. I was able to get it to work. Thanks.
  3. Kdodge I ran the command before and after I connected the VPN. The command gave no output either time.
  4. Alright, so I've managed to get OpenVPN to work on the Nano.. I even managed to get it to connect to PIA. However the moment the connection establishes I lose the internet. I'm pretty sure this is a routing issue. But I'm unsure of what I need to add to the config file to fix the issue upon connecting. This is the result of the IP config table after it establishes a connection. 5. I have a problem.. the invis.vbs opens as a text file. Fixed that issue... Script: C:\Users\DANNYM~1\AppData\Local\Temp\34525126.vbs Line: 3 Char: 1 Error: Unable to open registry key "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProductId" for reading. Code: 80070002 Source: WshShell.RegRead Now having the above issue.
  6. It wasn't quite what I was looking for. But I figured it out.
  7. Can someone give me an example on what needs to go into the hex edited file? on windows?
  8. Perhaps.. There is still the serial cables which is supposed to drop you into a root console? Anyone know if the TTL Serial cables sold in the hakshop work for the mark 5? I've been thinking about ordering one anyways..
  9. Sorry Windows changes IP's on me when I diagnose the issue.. Either way putting 192.168.1.2 doesn't work nor does 192.168.1.1 And this happens when the pins are set for the recovery console.. It still says cable is unplugged. I'm really thinking the Ethernet adapter has been some how turned off.
  10. Thanks for your help Sugarrat! I appreciate your support. I'll keep going with foxtrot.. I'd really love to come up with a solution for everyone who's experiencing this issue including me..
  11. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rpvu8h9kaarnfhr/IPv4.bmp https://www.dropbox.com/s/8ikezdxcdxvxsff/IPv4-2.png I've used both of these.. The first one was following the recovery mode steps the second one was when I was able to access it and the pineapple was providing the DCHP. These are the property windows themselves https://www.dropbox.com/s/jxcv3g99qwxechk/EthernetProprties1.png https://www.dropbox.com/s/wbcxgq8wf0ia70q/EthernetProprties2.png
  12. Yes I did Was even able to change the password and access the pineapple. Then I turned the power off again to remove the micro card, as one person said for some reason with a card in they couldn't get client mode to work but with out it they could. I removed the micro sd card. Plugged it back in, and no Ethernet.. Then I began trying to trouble shoot and haven't gotten anywhere.. It's like the Pineapples Ethernet port is off.. Unless there's a new suggestion.. I'm thinking either I'm going to have to return it, or order the serial cable.
  13. Alright I searched the forums found the power requirements for the mark 4, and tested the adapter I have which meets those requirements (had to spend 7 dollars on a tip *grumbles*). But I get the exact same result as when I plug it into the pineapples original power supply. Green and Red lights on.. no Ethernet.. I tested the Ethernet cord again with a router and even tried a different cord still unable to get to the recovery console.. or even do a factory reset.. Any other suggestions?
  14. I'm running windows 7 and I checked the computer the wired interfaces do work, when I plug it directly into a router. Unfortunately I have not found a solution, I think this particular pineapple maybe able to be accessed with the serial cables which i don't own.. I may have another power cable I could use, could someone give me the ratings I need to try? 12V 1.3 amps? (is what I think I read) did I get that correct?
  15. I plug in the Ethernet cord (even tried one I knew that worked.) and the computer doesn't detect anything. The website doesn't load either.
  16. Yeah.. I noticed... sigh... Though if it helps any the Red light is on... as well as the green... I wonder if this is because the WLAN0 and WLAN1 are switched..
  17. My ethernet stopped working on the second boot of the pineapple... I tried the factory rest still didn't work... Tried following the unbricking tutorial.. but I can't connect to the pineapple at all... So now what?
  18. Thanks for the update Darren. Now I must wait staring out my window for the next couple days for the USPS man to deliver the goods.
  19. Well I ordered a Ducky too... :( so both are in limbo.
  20. I got confirmation on mine being shipped on the 25th. I found out today it wasn't even shipped yet. (You can get this by emailing them.) Likely you sound to be in the same boat.
  21. Just wanted to let everyone know that the "pineapple immigration station" seems to be having a delay of about a week. If you've received a your package was shipped notification last wee (Like I did) your pineapple may have not actually been shipped yet.. as I've found out today when I emailed them and asked what's going on.. Sigh. I just wish they wouldn't have said it was shipped until it actually was. This really isn't a bad on them, they are a small operation.. more of trying to inform others who also maybe wondering where there device is.
  22. I'm trying to track down a name of a program I believe I first found on this show. (I could be wrong) But what the program did was you'd type in the name of someone (like yourself) and it'd bring up a mind map of information it found online about the search. You could then add more search information such as aliases ect to get more detailed over view. I know it used to be free, but then that got taken away and it's now paid. But I can't even remember the programs name.
