  1. Mines a 250 gig western digital... it started making weird noises... and it like powered off and then back on and i lost some data... after windows crashed.
  2. Western Digital is sending out the replacement hard drive first.. and then i have 30 days to get the defective one back or ihave to pay for it.. lol but its easier for me to attempt to recover my data.
  3. She can go to microsoft.com and get a legal key for a very good discount.. she just has to enter in the "illegal" cd key or somthing like that and she gets like 100 bucks off a geniune copy..
  4. How long has your hard drive lasted? My new Western Digital Lasted 1 week before i had to send it back from a catastropic failier.
  5. strict.... dude we have over 100 cameras at my school quit freaking complaining. YOu put one icon that wasnt originaly on the computer desktops, you get a detention . and they record our computer screens from the second we login.
  6. thats how the sys admin at my school felt about me... except i would approach him and tell him... he also knows that i have prior knowledge of the school disticts computer network as I worked with the sys admin at my jr. High.
  7. Alright, they came to day... they went to look at my cable modem (it was like 2 of them) and they saw my servers and they were confused.. lol so I had to explian my setup to them, and they were like okay... and they unhooked the cable modem and put a signal meter on it... and it was weak they said.... so they asked if the modem was on a splitter and it was, so they went up in the attic and they checked the line coming into the splitter and it was weak as well... so they go out into the back yard... and checked the line comming into the house, it was weak, so they went to the terminal in my backyard, and the line comming into the terminal was fine... they found out that the terminal in my back yard was bad..... and they decided to replace it and re run the cable comming into the house.... they finished the the cable modem was fine.. and my connection was actualy faster.. and b4 they left they wanted me to get/ buy a router from them for "home networking" like they advertise on their phones... and i was like NO. and they left... and the local office called a few hours later to see how the connection was doing and i said fine.... and now it works... YAY ME! lol
  8. Thats what ive told him i think 3-4 times.... He still thinks that he is going to get caught.
  9. thats why you send an anonymous email...
  10. well.. You dont have to say its you! Create a fake email. WHen the servers come back up like the CISD servers were down for a few days.... email them
  11. Its not hard to create an email telling him the vulnerability.
  12. I explain to him step by step.... Ive gotten recongnition from the district superintendent and the district system administrator for helping them with their systems. My schools sys admin and I have intellegent conversations about the computer and he wants me to be his aide next year. I dont do any thing that violates the rules... I give him a list of proxies that I have dug up from students.
  13. Straight from a school sys admins keyboard! (am i correct) The sys admin at my school knows i look for bugs in their system, and the second i find one i report it to the sys admin and he thanks me. I dont get in trouble... well i havent done any thing that would break the rules in the student hand book. EDIT: Quit worring about your ass and start worring about the consequences of the vulnerability unpatched.. If you got in jsut think about how easy it would be for an experienced hacker to get in and so some real damage to the schools network. Like i said before, they keep financial recordon the computers. and the school could get screwed over if you dont step up and report it.
  14. anonymous email... dont tell them that its you. just tell them that they have a vulnerability. lol
  15. no.. we both win 8)
  16. you can email the schools sys admin.. they still do stuff over the summer... and then the summer school students are using the computers over the summer.. and that vulnerability is still open for them to find and exploit.
  17. i totaly agree with you Horza... hes talking about it falling into the wrong hands, when he doesnt want to stand up and say that the school network has a vulnerability and have it patched so grades, finanical information, contact information wont get compromised, when he is obviously using it for his own purposes. and what if he was using that to install something, and a virus came along with it, and then you have every computer in the district compromised now because he didnt want to tell them that they had a problem.
  18. You are talking about it falling in to the wrong hands and your "not done having fun with it yet." it sounds like its in the wrong hands right now.
  19. lol I was trusted enough to have admin access so i dont care... lol
  20. lol Group Policy editor.... they dont blockit at my school.. even though thats what they use at my school to lock down all the pcs
