hello, i just downloaded ubuntu version 8.04 i think it is, its the newest one anyway. I was wonering why the wirless internet wont work. its on a dell laptop which is incredibly slow, it has a gig of ram p4 3.6 ghz and a radeon 9600go like the portable version of the card. I have tried the ubuntu site and the trouble shooter. But it says that if your device is found then go to basic procedure and if it is not there is a lengthyer process. But mine was found and i set it to raomming and it never finds my wirless dsl router. So then i try to enter the stuff manually witht the wep key and the ESSID name and still no luck. can anyone help with this problem and maby a tip on how to make the laptop run a bit quicker. thnx

no there is no difference besides that an older pc might not suport booting from the usb.

so basically u load this into your own pc and security test on another pc remotly or do u use it on a pc u intend to securty test thnx

ok i see what u all mean, especially with it being a demo pc with preloaded software so you dont actually get into the OS itself, but there was another pc beside tht didnt have a password and you could access the os just normally like any pc with admin access. and i guess there was no reason but to not be bored and really i didnt feel like using the desktop xuz it was in the middle of an isle and it was up kinda high i meen not like i couldnt reach it but it was awkward and the laptop with the password was more convient but it had a password so just wanted to use and have the satisfaction of getting pass the password tht some tard put on there. But i probably should have notified someone who worked there (although it wouldnt have been taken care of for weeks)

listen first of all calling me a douche bag wasnt nesasary, but i must not have made it clear, this computer was one set out so you could demo it or USE IT the purpose is for u to use then u like it then you buy it and wal-mart makes money. Anyway this was set by some guy who was using it then set a password to be a jackass to other people. Now, im just saying you were supposed to be able to use the laptop and some tard put a password on it to be smart. and i wanted to know how to get passed it. Not to get anything FROM the laptop but to get pass the password so the laptop can be used for what it was meant to be used for PUBLIC USE....

no the wheel i bought did not come with another controller, but things might have changed, but i doubt it.

ok so i was at wal-mart the other day just minding my own and buisness and being really bored. SO, i went over to on of the laptops they had sitting out tht you could like mess around on to try out and stuff. So i pushed a button to get it out of sleep and i noticed the only log on name had a password by it. So i went over to the reminder and it said "Wouldn't you like to know" i found this very funny and it was obviously set by some devient who thought they were kool. Sooooo, i turned it off ad booted into the setup, then i took off ALL passwords on the pc, i went doen the list and it said that they were all not set. So i then booted it back normally and saw tht the password was still there...... this made me pretty mad cuz ive been messing with password stuff and couldnt get into the pc. So i walked away feeling beatn, anyone know why this happend and how to get into it, plz let me remind u it was a pc you were supposed to use at wal-mart. not like my rich neighbors or sumething i dont know. thnx

well u can also get emulators for lots of other systems. like pc engine neo geo, and some others i dont know them off the top of my head

yes what i asaid was tht u have to do the TP hack BEFORE you upgrade... Then u load the home brew channel before you updrade...then you can upgrade keeping the homebrew channel, while still being updated. Im not sure if u are familiar with the hombrew channel, but it doesnt use the savegame hack so the update doesnt effect it.

thts fine and dandy so if you do this before u update THEN installe the homebrew channel THEN update it will keep the hamebrew channel and u can still launch homebrew from an updated wii

ok so basically i wrote this batch file so you dont have to get the different files and rename them and things like that. Basically all it does is get the Sd card ready then you put the SD card into the wii and delete your old zelda save file and then copy the hacked one from the Sd card and put it into the wii's memory, then you load the game twilight princess and load the hacked save file. then once in the game walk backwards or talk to the guy in front of you. This overloads the game so you can load CUSTOM CHANNELS and others. i will post another file to install a snes channel and a .wad installer channel and a homebrew channel....NEAT STUFF (note this is basically for newbs who cant get the TP hack to work) O and when u start the file and begin to enter the info. You will see a table with info on it use it to find the fille name according to your CD version, then later you will see it a SECOND time after a long string of text at the SECOND time you type in the word YES and use all caps when typing in the prompt. here is the file needed for the program unpack this into the ROOT of the C drive so that a file called WIIBREW is on the C drive http://www.mediafire.com/?dwww20jm3tz THis is the Batch file itself, does all the work for u http://www.mediafire.com/?brgzpib1mjj (if you need it in exe format i can do that too) thanks
