The BU-353-N5 GPS dongle uses a newer Prolific 2303 chipset that is only supported by kernel 5.5 and above. I don't know if this kernel upgrade is possible, but if I could use the MK7 with the BU-353-N5 GPS for wardriving, I wouldn't need to buy another GPS receiver... dark_pyrro Posted January 30, 2023 Share Posted January 30, 2023 My guess is that the fastest road to success is getting a compatible GPS device instead of waiting for a kernel upgrade. 21.02 has an expected EOL in April 2023 and will probably not move further from kernel 5.4. Things might happen if moving to 22.03 that currently uses 5.10.x but I think those kinds of changes are secondary when it comes to Pineapple development.
