Cryptoz Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 I am having some problems getting the pineapple to boot up. I have tried 4 USB-C adapters (all 2 volt 5V) and I get no LEDs when they are plugged in. There is a button on the device, but I think that's a reset button. I tried pressing it a few times and nothing. Is there something I am missing?
dark_pyrro Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 It should start as soon as you apply power. Try different cables if you just have tried one. The button has nothing to do with the normal boot procedure. The power source doesn't necessarily need to be a USB-C one. If you have some USB-C to Type A USB cables, you can use a Type A power source as well.
Cryptoz Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 Thanks for your confirmation dark_pyrro. I am only using USB A to USB C adapter cables. They work with all my other USB C products so I am sure it's not the cables or adapters. Perhaps the unit was damaged in shipping. I am engaging with Hak5 support under warranty.
