Just received my pineapple Mark VII. Is there a trick to turning it on?

I am having some problems getting the pineapple to boot up. I have tried 4 USB-C adapters (all 2 volt 5V) and I get no LEDs when they are plugged in. There is a button on the device, but I think that's a reset button. I tried pressing it a few times and nothing. Is there something I am missing?

It should start as soon as you apply power. Try different cables if you just have tried one. The button has nothing to do with the normal boot procedure. The power source doesn't necessarily need to be a USB-C one. If you have some USB-C to Type A USB cables, you can use a Type A power source as well.

I am only using USB A to USB C adapter cables. They work with all my other USB C products so I am sure it's not the cables or adapters. Perhaps the unit was damaged in shipping. I am engaging with Hak5 support under warranty.
