Dаrren Kitchen Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 IGiGLE: Irongeek's WiGLE WiFi Database to Google Earth Client for Wardrive Mapping A little app I wrote that lets you directly import data from the online WiGLE WiFi Wardrive database into a KML file, then view it in Google Earth. http://www.irongeek.com/i.php?page=securit...ardrive-mapping Hope someone finds it useful. The code is real ugly right now, but with some more time... If you have ideas for more functions let me know. Quote
Dаrren Kitchen Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 What Lat/Lon/Var did you put in? I did a map for part of London yesterday. Quote
deleted Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I put in my post code (zip code) which is DD5 *** (dundee). I get an error. Quote
Dаrren Kitchen Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 The ZIP only works for the US(I think), try the lat/long option. I just tested and I was able to make one for London with the Lat/Long. If you like, email me your location and I'll make you a KMZ for it. Wish I could attaches it to the thread. Quote
deleted Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I tryed the LAT/LONG and it worked. but one more question, Where is the KMZ file stored? Quote
Dаrren Kitchen Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 The KML file is put in the same directory as igigle.exe. If you want to make it into a KMZ file just zip up the KML and put a KMZ extension on the end. That will save space. Let me know if you have a problem. Quote
Dаrren Kitchen Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 So you see no KML or TXT file in the same folder as the exe? Is there an error message on the IgIGLE window? What LAT/LON/Var did you use so I can test? Quote
deleted Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I am running it again, no problems yet, been sayin Getting File DD5***.txt for a while. Quote
deleted Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Sorry about double post. It just finnish running again, it says "Done. Open DD5***.kml in Google Earth", I dont see a file in its directory like you said. Quote
Dаrren Kitchen Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Wait, why is DD5 in the file name? It won't work with anything but US ZIPs as far as I know so you have to use Lat/Long to get the data. Are you running it on your desktop or some other folder? PM me the lat/long location so I can test it please. Thanks. Quote
Dаrren Kitchen Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 I think it's an input format problem. Email me and Ill send you a KML for the area. Quote
