Hey guys,

I bought this from amazon.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AQM8586/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .  Says it has Asix AX88179 chipset that was mentioned.  I plug it into my tetra and the ethernet ports blink then go dead.  I feel like it can work but i'm missing something.  Do I have to get into the /etc/config/network or /etc/config/firewall settings to get this to work?  I basically just want another Lan port on my tetra.

lsusb shows: Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0b95:1790 ASIX Electronics Corp. AX88179 Gigabit Ethernet.   So it seems like it has the driver for the usb device.

Plugable USB 3.0 to Ethernet Gigabit 10/100/1000 LAN Network Adapter (ASIX AX88179 chipset Compatible with Windows 10, 8.1, 7, XP, Linux, Switch Game Console, Chrome OS)

Are you trying to run this on a mac on or Windows 10? I know there have been a lot of issues with usb dongles on Catalina 15.X - pluggable actually addresses this on their website and have a driver to support it. I've called other manufacturers and they do not currently have a resolution. Apple is also unsure and one of their support people actually told me to go to Hak5 to see if there were answers here. Here is the link for the pluggable youtube video:

Let me know if this help!
