switching from deny mode to allow mode

i don't have much call to use my tetra, aside from one job where it performed flawlessly I haven't had the time to play with it.  i just upgraded tot he new firmware and when it asked me to choose between allow and deny mode, i chose allow.  then it popped up a warning, so without thinking i changed it.  now i cannot seem to get anything to connect.  i read where checking the box in pineap will allow connections but that isn't working either.  I hate to reset it just to upgrade and download and install all the modules and dependencies again if there is an easy way to change it, like in a config file through ssh or something.
