Tetra NOOB, mount USB

I have inserted an ext4 formatted (32GB) USB into my new tetra. It shows up on the advanced page (upper right). From command line, fdisk -l lists the device /dev/sda. I created a directory /sd/. I am at loss how to mount the sd card. A simple "mount /dev/sda /sd" fails.  Placing the UUID into the Advanced page fstab area (which I have NO clue where the actual fstab is on the device, as /etc/fstab redirects to  . .  nothing it seems), and still no mount of the USB.

Any and all help is appreciated, sans rm -rf /

Thank you!
