anonpiss
I read that U3 SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB Drive can autorun anything. I also understand that it must be hacked in order to modify the autorun.inf file. Is there any simple step-by-step to do that? I just want to autorun a third party Windows Explorer on a computer that has no shell. Meaning that explorer.exe is terminated. Thanks and great forum! lgchicken
see the stickeys here: http://hak5.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=20&...7c5b35f4ef50b63
Sparda
Is this "third party Windows Explorer" just explorer with minor modifications? I ask because unless it's specified as the shell it won't run as the shell, only the file manager will appear (unless it's been modified to always load the shell). anonpiss
Oh no, the 3rd party explorer is only a File Explorer. It's not a shell replacement. I read all the stickys and it seems pretty advanced. I only need to know how to edit the autorun.inf to automatically run a third party file explorer which is on U3 when the USB thumb drive is plugged in. anonpiss
Please let me know if I got it right. 1. Run u3 uninstall.exe downloaded from http://www.u3.com/uninstall 2. Modify cruzer-autorun.iso to include my own autorun.inf 3. Place cruzer-autorun.iso together with LPInstaller.exe 4. Run LPInstaller.exe
