DFU mode not working?

Hello there,

I recently bought a ducky for xmas and i have had a few problems with it. The main one being that i can not flash it with the twin duck state and when ever i try it just goes back to the ducky flasher main menu. I have no problem putting it into DFU mode but the error message just states "There was an error flashing, make sure your ducky is in DFU mode" (which it is)... PLEASE help if you can i dont have any idea what else i can do to trouble shoot this error.

PS:

I have kali linux on my laptop not as a VM

i have done apt-get upgrade / apt-get install dfu-programmer so this should not be an issue, maybe i should try uninstalling dfu and reinstalling??
