Remote Desktop on another port?

Hey,

I figured out many of the home computers/networks i test are proof against remote desktop because the port is still closed in the Router or external firewall.

So once enabled on the machine and a rule is added to the firewall it still won't work, anyone think it would work if i write a script that would change this:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber Port number 3389 to port number 80.

Would it still block the Remote connection or would it be allowed because port 80 is like 'open' in the router?

Thanks!
