Skipper Posted August 21, 2013 Share Posted August 21, 2013 I'm not going to lie, the Router Sky provide you with is one of the worst Routers I have ever used, Drop-outs all the time, No port forwarding!, Only DynDNS support, and lacking in many key features for what I use it for. Can I use a different Router? If I buy one and unplug the Router that they give you and just plug that one in, will it work? and If so can anyone recommend a good router? I was thinking about building one but I would like a cheaper alternative, if there is a Router that I can use with Sky Broadband that has a GUI and I can SSH into or something (DD-WRT) and has all of he "bells and whistles" like USB ports would be great. i'm tired of drop outs and lack of features.
