Valtyr Posted December 11, 2012 Share Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) hey guys, I have an old tower that I'd like to turn into a file server (both over the network and online). I also wanted to use it as a print server, and to stream music and videos over my network (also possibly over the internet). I wanted to know if freeNAS was up to these jobs? Or should I look into something else. Or, will I have to run a few applications on the tower at once? The tower is an old Pentium 3, 256mb ram, and a 10GB HDD, though I am going to throw more HDD's inside, and possibly connect an external USB drive as well. Oh, and I'll be connecting to this using Windows and Linux machines, and hopefully through my Android as well. Can you guys make any suggestions or where I should begin?
