MVE
Hello, I will have soon Alfa AP121U, but mean while I do have some other boards with hornet/AP121 ( TL-WR703N and TL-MR11U with battery) which I modded and changed SPI flash to 8M and RAM to 64MB. Can you help guys - By making U-boot partition backup, and upload it here? uboot bin dump or full SPI flash dump will be even greater! I'm not sure this is valid for mk4 but for openwrt can be dumped with this: dd if=/dev/mtd0 of=/tmp/uboot.backup Thanks P.S. I do have working serial console and also SPI programmer. An idea that, I'm sure you already may considered for the future U-boot version is to add web flash recovery options, then if some things are really messed up, one will not need serial console and USB/TTL converter to recover form messed firmware or network settings. U-BOOT with web failsafe this one I've compiled and try - it works fine for my WR703N. Or D-Link include the source code of "Emergency Room Web interface" in the GPL code if the code form the link above is not suitable. MVE
Cool lol 64 megabyte ram on the pineapple would be awesome:-D Why not, it will be great :) You need an old bank of DIMM memory from computer a little bit practice desolder and solder a few chips to become confident that you can do it. A cheap hot-air Godak 952 rework station, picture may say more than me :) MR11U Memory change 1 MR11U Memory change 2 WR703N WR703N SPI flash mod 'Idea' for easy reprogramming without soldering: TOP View SOP2DIP adapter off Inside view top Inside view bottom Cheers Edited May 6, 2012 by MVE
