Vpn Command Line Configuration

Lodi

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am running Ubuntu 11.10 and have configured a PPTP VPN connection using Network Manager. Since the VPN connection I am using changes password every 8 hours, I have been trying to make a BASH script that can fetch the new password, replace the old password with it, and start up the connection. I think I know how to get the script to fetch the new password, and I do know how to start up an already configured VPN connection using nmcli, but I haven't been able to find out how to change the password using the command line. Does anyone know if this is possible using Network Manager? If not, is there any other tool I can use, so that I can have 100% control of my VPN connection from the command line?
